About this property

Old Brewery in Gudhjem – sea view, private cliff garden, sleeps 14

  • Klippen's house in Gudhjem: the old brewery from 1890, just 100 m from the harbour. 5 bedrooms for 14 guests, several with panoramic views of the town and the sea, plus the house's own cliff garden with the best view in Gudhjem. The house is part of Klippen Hotel: bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included, breakfast can be added, and the hotel reception is a few minutes' walk away. Refreshed in December 2024, and we keep improving the house.

    THE HOUSE
    A unique Bornholm town house from 1890 that was once Gudhjem's brewery. The house is cosy and rustic, with all modern conveniences.

    BEDROOMS
    5 large bedrooms, each with a double bed, washbasin and table/chair. One also has a bunk bed for 2 children/teenagers, and the sofa in the living room converts into a double bed. 3 of the rooms have panoramic views over Gudhjem and the sea, and on clear days you can see Christiansø.

    KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM
    Large kitchen/dining room seating 12, fully equipped for cooking, with dishwasher and washing machine. Small TV room with Apple TV (room for 5-7 people).

    BATHROOMS
    3 separate toilets and 3 shower rooms. They are rustic, in keeping with the age of the house, but practical: several people can shower at the same time.

    OUTDOORS
    Sunny garden with garden furniture and a Weber grill, 2-3 parking spaces and a 300 m² cliff garden behind the house. Climb up the cliff and enjoy the view over all of Gudhjem and the sea. Around midsummer you can see both sunrise and sunset from up there.

    LOCATION
    The house is on a quiet side street, 20 m from the main street and 100 m from the harbour. Restaurants, cafés, smokehouses, grocery store, bakery, cinema, bathing jetty and cliffs are all within walking distance, so you can leave the car parked.

    KLIPPEN HOTEL
    The house is part of Klippen Hotel in Gudhjem, and you get the hotel's service included:
    - Bed linen, towels and final cleaning by the hotel's own staff
    - Breakfast at Café Plateau (Grevens Dal 50), 7-10 am, can be added
    - Klippen's reception at Brøddegade 28 helps with bike rental, extra towels (for a fee) and tips on restaurants and excursions. Open 10 am-5 pm (10 am-9 pm during the summer holidays).

    You check in yourselves with a key box and don't need to visit the reception, but you are welcome to drop by or message us if you need help during your stay.

    GOOD TO KNOW
    Bed linen, sheets and towels are included, and there are duvets and pillows for 14 people. The house is heated with electricity: please mainly use the heat pump, and take care with the panel heaters on the walls.

    The house is perfect for 5 couples with children, multi-generation families, groups of friends, and golf, fishing or company trips.

Eine charmante und traditionelle Ferienunterkunft für Familien oder Gruppen im Herzen des malerischen Gudhjem. Grundsätzlich ist alles im Haus vorhanden, was man benötigt. Als einziges Manko empfand unsere Gruppe , daß es kein richtiges Bad gab. Die einzelnen Toilettenräume und Duschräume sind veraltet und für ein Ferienhaus nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Vidunderlig beliggenhed

Vi var 12 personer fra 7år til 75 år . Perfekt til hele familien. Meget lille køkken, og stue , så dårligt vejr kan være en udfordring. Vi var lidt plaget af Rågerne , de havde reder og unger i træet på grunden og de skriger meget. Vi kommer gerne igen , det var en skøn Pinse i Gudhjem .

Spectacular terrace for apero and more

We enjoyed our stay with our group of 12 family & friends in the house very much: spectacular sea view, literally in the center of Gudhjem, very practical kitchen with big table for 14 people, nice rooms and outstanding terrace for apero and more. We will come back!

Dejligt centralt beliggende hus

gode værelser, bad og toiletforhold ok. Lille stue med tv, der var bøvlet at indstille. Lille køkken med gryder der ikke var beregnet til 11 mand det samme var ovnen. Men køkkenet var funktionelt. Eneste negative indspark var de manglen oplysninger om, hvordan man fandt feriehuset og hvordan man bedst kom dertil. Det var en prøvelse

Sauberes, zweckmäßiges Haus - aber klein.

Insgesamt war das Haus sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber schon klein. Es gibt insg. 4 Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett und ein Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett und einem Doppelstockbett (alle Zimmer mit Waschbecken). Die Betten waren schon sehr weich und die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Die Küche war zweckmäßig eingerichtet und verfügte über einen langen Esstisch (max 12 Personen). Gegenüber gibt es noch ein Wohnzimmer mit TV und einer Sitzgruppe. Mehr als 8 Personen können dort allerdings nicht sitzen. In einem Nebenraum stand der Geschirrspüler und die Waschmaschine. Der "Sanitärtrakt" im EG bestand aus 3, nebeneinander liegenden Duschräumen (jeweils ca. 2 m x 2m, vollständig mit Kunststoff ausgekleidet) und zwei getrennte Toiletten gegenüber (ein ungeheiztes WC gab es auch im OG). Vermittelte schon etwas Ferienlageratmosphäre . Im Winter sollten eher weniger mitkommen, wenn sich das Leben im Haus abspielt. Im Sommer sieht es vielleicht anders aus. Da kann man auch die hintere Terrasse und/oder den Garten mit dem dortige Holztisch und den Bänken benutzen. Abschließend möchte ich nochmal die Sauberkeit hervorheben, diese war perfekt. Ansonsten ein kleines, altes Haus, zweckmäßig mit Abstrichen.

Fantastisk beliggenhed

Huset havde alt hvad vi havde brug for. Det eneste vi selv skulle have med var sengelinned og karklude. Man sov som en drøm på dobbeltsengene i alle 5 værelser, og så var der havudsigt fra 3 af værelserne. 3 seperate baderum, 3 seperate toiletter og håndvask på alle værelserne, så der var aldrig kø 200 m til supermarkedet og 200 m til havnen og isboderne. En fin lille have med eftermiddagssol og mulighed for gå op på klippen bagerst i haven og nyde havudsigten. Stuen var dog meget lille, og vi kunne kun være 10 personer derinde, fordi halvdelen var børn. Absolut en anbefalelsesværdig feriebolig - vi ville gerne være blevet en uge mere.
