"Riverview Lodge in Kernville was a great place for our over-nighter on the Kern River. The property is well-maintained for its age, and the lawn is lovely and verdant. They offer direct access to the river, and its within walking distance of all the shoppes and restaurants on both sides of the bridge. From an old river rat who has haunted streams throughout this nation, Riverview Lodge on the Kern River is a perfect spot to soak it all in."

"Nice secluded area; owner is NOT joking when she says bring food and water with you because closest store is 45+ minutes away (same for gas) ; the local general store doubles as a burger stand and was delicious; we made the trip to 100 Giants and Kern River ; both were great!"

"The staff was super friendly, the beds were very comfortable, the sheets smelled like bleach (which I love), the river view was awesome, fire pit provided and fan, bathrooms clean and well appointed, outside showers were pretty cool (summer). We felt safe"

"Room was clean and comfortable but no maid service given between nights. Walking distance to Lake Isabella with a view from window. Remote-off-site check-in at nearby Barewood Motel after 3pm. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed, AC & paddle fan on ceiling kept it cool in very hot weather. Good TV choices. No breakfast provided other than coffee, so bring food, beverages, snacks or stop at a store on the way and use fridge and microwave. Restaurants 5 minute drive away in Kernville. No pool. Free parking. Quiet. I'd stay there again."

"The perfect family getaway to make everyone disconnect from their devices and enjoy being together. We started a 1000 piece puzzle and worked on it as a group during our stay. There were plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. The kids enjoyed running around and exploring outside. The pool was smaller than expected but we still had a great time. They pretty much have everything you need all you have to do is bring food. The view was amazing."
