The Lodge at Refuge Ranch isn’t just a place to lay your head…it’s a special place where memories are made. Whether you are just passing through, or coming for a “stay-cation,” the Lodge at Refuge Ranch will become your retreat.


The log Lodge at Refuge Ranch is the perfect location to seek refuge and get away from it all. Cozy up to the wood-burning stove while you watch a movie, share ghost stories while you grill or roast marshmallows over the fire pit grill, or sit on the porch while you read and let go of the life stressors. The ranch sits comfortably on 53+ acres of incredible views. You never know what wildlife you will see on the property! Refuge Ranch is the ideal place to enjoy or learn new activities including exploring nature and the wilderness of the property, fishing (from bank or small bass boat), boating + kayaking, mountain biking through the trails (NOTE: we do not provide mountain bikes), archery, guided hunting (boar), early morning run, professional firing range, pet horses, and MUCH MORE.

The Refuge Ranch is in Locust Grove, Georgia, south of Atlanta in Butts County, and sits along I-75.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, we can comfortably sleep 10 guests! In addition, the home is equipped with a coffee station + fire pit + wood-burning stove!

Take a short drive to local outdoor activities; with 219+ days of sunshine, Georgia is perfect for all your favorite outdoor activities, vineyards, amazing waterfalls/caves, shops, and great libations!

Our cleaning service provides start-up supplies, including paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, kitchen trash can liners, toilet paper, and bathroom trash liners. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional items when the initial supply runs out.

Refuge Ranch is a family-oriented and child-friendly home. However, children and infants must be under active supervision by a parent or guardian at all times. All responsibility and duty of care for them must be provided by you, including their equipment and needs.

Do I need to rent a car?
Refuge Ranch sits about 45 minutes from the Atlanta Airport; therefore, we recommend renting a car if you plan on traveling to local areas such as downtown Atlanta. Ensure that you book your car at the airport that you travel through.

Are there any transportation services?
Yes! Uber and Lyft are available in Locust Grove. You can download the app and make prior reservations.

Neighborhood Description
Refuge Ranch sits on 53+ acres along with two small homes owned by Refuge Ranch. The area offers a level of solitude and quietness that only the country can provide. There is not a lot of vehicle traffic on the road in front of the ranch. Even though you feel miles away from civilization, you’re only seven miles from restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores.

ATTENTION NON-AMBULATORY/SPECIAL NEEDS GUESTS:
While most of the Lodge is accessible by wheelchair, please provide us with advanced notice of your needs since our wheelchair ramp for the lower level stairs (2) is portable and only put into place upon request. The ramp makes the two downstairs guest rooms and sitting area more easily accessible.
