"We stayed in the Chickadee cabin. It is a pretty new cabin and very nicely appointed kitchen. However, the description on Expedia is a bit off. It says it’s a “lake view” cabin. It is not. It’s a short walk to the lake. It also said it had a queen bed, but it has a queen bed in the bedroom plus a twin bunk bed in the hallway and two twin mattresses in the loft, so basically it can sleep six people. Two other cabins are basically the same layout. These are really nice cabins. Sparrow and Nuthatch do have lake views. It’s a pretty big resort with about 15 cabins of various sizes. My only complaint is no hairdryer. I would have brought my own, but Expedia said they were provided. I’m sure if I’d have asked George for one he would have gotten us one. George and Jackson were both very nice and always helpful. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Timber Trail Lodge."

"Parking wasn’t terrible, check in wasbso quick and painless! The rooms were clean and in the shape we figured they would be for an older Inn…not terrible but not great, but suited it’s purpose of a comfortable place to stay for one night."

"Property is just as listed with good view of lake and nice stream with walking bridges. Pontoon ride was great to see the lake and fishing boats operated great with life jackets provided. Cabin was clean and all amenities enabled us to cook everything we brought. Very courteous management. Really enjoyed my trip with son in law and two grandkids!!"

"What a great place! And to make it better, the property manager, Tracy and the owner, Joe, are wonderful people. So accommodating and friendly. Our luggage was delivered two days later, and both Joe and Tracy brought over personal clothing for us to use. It is a great getaway if you are looking for quiet and nature. Will definitely return!"

"Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great."

"The room was cozy snugged up to the lake. The staff was amazing and accommodating. If you want to truly enjoy the North I highly recommend this resort. Quiet cozy and secluded. Canoes are available at no cost which wow so enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends who are looking to escape in the beauty of nature and disconnect from the busy world around us. "
