Decent hotel but not what I expected

Room was nonsmoking but had strong odor of smoke; bedding was clean but blanket had cigarette burn in it; housekeeping did have everything clean and stocked but the lingering smell bothered me; gym's ac wasn't working so couldn't use facility; most equipment was broken and no tv in gym; pool had quite a bit of debris floating but I wasn't gonna use it anyway; lobby was clean and inviting; receptionist was great and friendly; breakfast and community areas were clean, stocked and inviting; just some areas need definite attention

Pros: The value. The price was right for what we received.
Cons: The breakfast was a little skimpy but the area was clean and stocked.
Location: We chose this hotel because we were moving our daughter into her college apartment and needed a place for one night. Near by the college campus.
The hotel itself was very basic but clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very basic. Cereal, danishes, waffles. The price was right for our one night stay.

Terrible time at this hotel

This hotel was a gross dirty and awful experience for me & my son. The shower was dirty the neighborhood is scary and the people staying there were having a loud party til 5 am and the front desk never ever called them to be quiet. The breakfast was gross & I will make sure to tell people never to go there.

Cons: Make sure its guests are not loud and rowdy. The room smelled a bit damp. The orange juice tasted bitter.
Location: There was a Waffle House to eat out late at night.
We arrived late and got a room pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and able to accommodate us and our pets. The people over our room were a bit loud at night, but overall we were able to get rest that night.

Nice Place for Good Price

We stayed one night, traveling through. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Refrigerator, microwave, shower, etc. all worked fine. Stayed with our dog and had to pay $22 additional. Red Roof Inn doesn't charge for pets, so we usually stay there when we can. However, we would stay at this hotel again if we were in this area.

Good location, terrible dirty room, horrific bath

Only good thing - location, the rest was horrible. I have never seen dirtier bathroom in my life: black stuff all over the bathtub and walls in the shower. The towels were brown (even though they used to be white at some point). I would not let any of my family members take a shower there that night. The room smelled with bug spray and there were patches all over the walls and ceiling. I would not stay here ever again.

Outdated. Beds are not comfortable.

Pros: Convenience to where we had to be.
Cons: Complete renovation!
Location: Very near to ECU
Pretty clean, but way outdated. Beds are doubles, not queens. Very uncomfortable. We had 2 towels, friends of ours stayed the same nights and never had towels. They were given hand towels for bath towels. Said they were "out of towels" and the hotel was no where near full.

Nasty Staff. U get what u pay for!

I was charged even though I prepaid through Expedia. Got in room where there was absolutely NO toilet paper & no towels. Cleaning staff was very rude when I asked for a roll of toilet paper. Told me that they were washing towels.
