Girlfriend Getaway

We enjoyed this property so much! It is absolutely beautiful and stocked with everything you could need! The view was just beautiful and a gorgeous beach to take long walks! Terry and Mike have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect family getaway!

This was our second year at Tasty Waves and the whole family had the most enjoyable stay. The home is so charming and very clean and has all the essentials you could need. The beach is beautiful and the kids loved playing in the sand and waves all day long. This is a top notch rental - highly recommend!

Great Week on the Lake!

This was a most enjoyable week in a beautiful log house on Lake Huron. There were six adults over 75 y.o. that enjoyed their time here and were very comfortable, which at our age we need to be. : ) Our hosts thought of everything. We had such a good experience that we booked a week for next year and look forward to another wonderful week on Lake Huron, God willing.

Incredible house

This house is definitely better than the pictures show. Everything was beautiful and Mike and Terry have thought out every detail for you to have a wonderful trip. We’ve had lots of good luck with rentals, but this was top of our list.

Relaxing experience

Our stay at Tasty Waves was wonderful. The house is so comfortable, well organized and with everything one needs and more to enjoy the area. Especially enjoyed being able to spend time at the different seating areas depending on the weather (inside, screened in porch, porch, outdoor dining area, fire pit area, and the beach. We will remember this stay for years to come.

Incredible stay!

This was such a beautiful relaxing place.

This cabin was fully furnished and owner was very accommodating. The property was exactly as described. An amazing back yard, right on the lake, such a beautiful view. My family truly enjoyed our trip.

Amazing Stay - Perfect Location

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The cabin is immaculate and right on the lake. The hosts were very accommodating and attentive. You really could not ask for a more beautiful place to stay. The cabin was well equipped with pretty much anything you could possibly need - The hosts truly thought of everything. We will definitely be back.

The house and beach are beautiful and we had fun on the beach. The house is equipped well and had plenty of baby furniture, toys and games. We had one misunderstanding but it was resolved quickly.

Beautiful lakefront home

We loved this beautiful home on the beach. It was immaculate. It was extremely well-stocked with anything we might need. There were also little extras. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The Red Fork restaurant nearby was excellent. We enjoyed the fire pit, s’mores, kayaks and paddle boards. Would highly recommend this home for a family vacation. It was really delightful!

Vacation Paradise

The pictures and description of this home on the site do not do justice to this jewel. The owners have thought of every last thing to make a stay at this property one you will remember for a very long time. My wife and I have been to many of the great beaches in the world who use the term sugar-sand and they have nothing on the beaches that we walked miles in both directions! Truly a superb property that we look forward to staying again in the years to follow. Thank you!

Memories to last a lifetime!

Thank you so much for sharing your absolutely beautiful cabin with my family! We had great weather and enjoyed the sugar sand beach every day! Paddle boards, kayaks, endless sand castles, volleyball and bocce ball games are how we spent our days. The large kitchen that was fully stocked with any and all of our needs, made all meal times a breeze! We realized that we over packed when we found how generous the owners were! There wasn't anything they hadnt thought of! We loved playing board games together in the evening from the very large selection provided and read books to our littles from their bookshelf. Such a cozy and relaxing vaction rental. We cannot wait to book again and make more memories!

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful experience from beginning to end! The views are breathtaking and we enjoyed walking for miles on the beach each and every day. The cabin was stocked with everything you could possibly need during your stay, and the hosts were amazing. My husband and I visited in December and they went so far above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, that I could never thank them enough. Even decorating the home for Christmas when I mentioned it was my husband's favorite time of year. The personal touches were everywhere. It was truly the perfect getaway and we look forward to coming back over and over.

Magical Gateway

We wanted to spend out new years away from our home for a change, and boy are we happy we did because this beautiful dream come true cottage/cabin/home made it well worth it. Perfection on Lake Huron

This house is everything we could have wanted in a vacation rental--and more. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The owners have thought of everything from kitchen supplies to beach gear and more. It's in a fantastic, sandy, private location with an expanse of Lake Huron at your feet. The lake is delightfully shallow and crystal clear plus warmer than expected. Bring your clothes and food--the rest is ready for you there. Tawas Walmart was well stocked for groceries. My child wants to come back tomorrow :).

You will not find a better sandy (rock free) beach and lake bottom in the state of Michigan. That's a big statement that I back up with years of vacationing along the great lakes. The house and amenities match the beach. You will have everything needed to enjoy the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, toys, kayaks, paddle boards and more. The house is fully equipped to match. The ultimate recommendation: We booked a 3rd year in a row! Our family is in unanimous agreement to return.

Lake Huron Magic

This was our second stay at this property and we are already looking forward to the next! Being hosted by the Sanders' is like staying with family. Their communication ahead of, and during our stay was great. Their home is wonderfully appointed with so many special perks that makes this busy mom so thankful. Beach towels, sunscreen, snacks, water, games, beach and water toys - such a treat! The home is clean, beautifully decorated, and has a gorgeous lake view from a woodsy setting. Perhaps it was the time of year, but it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. The kids loved playing on the beach and in the lake. The lake had a great sandy bottom with a sandbar not too far out. Along with it's perfect immediate location, it is situated perfectly in Michigan. We took day trips to explore nearby Thunder Bay and Mackinac Island. This continues to be our best rental property experience. We will be back.

Perfect for family vacation

We had a wonderful time staying here. The property is even more beautiful in person and the cabin has everything you could possibly need. They even provided a booster seat and a high chair for my children. You can tell that the hosts put a lot of effort into ensuring their guests are comfortable! You truly only need to pack clothing and food. We had a wide range of ages in the cabin, ranging from 1.5 to 88 years old. The cabin is large and has a beautiful screened in porch and a game room, which worked perfectly for us when the kids needed a separate place to play. The beach is sandy and the water is shallow, perfect for kids. The surrounding area of Harrisville has plenty of artist’s shops to visit, and going for a day trip north to the Maritime Sanctuary/glass bottom boat tour is definitely a must. If you’re considering booking this property, do it! You won’t be disappointed.

Relaxing stay on Lake Huron

What a beautiful stay on Lake Huron! Ahead of our trip, Mike and Terry clearly communicated terms of the rental and check in procedures. They were incredibly responsive throughout our stay and very accommodating. Traveling solo with my young children, this beautiful cabin on the Lake was so well appointed that it felt like we were staying with family. It was very clean and everything felt like new. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The games, books, and outside toys were a wonderful bonus. All linens were clean and the bathrooms had plenty of towels/washcloths. The small additions provided by Mike and Terry were such a treat! My children were so excited for a s'mores night! My favorite part of the trip was cozying up in front of the fire and reading a book while my kids put together puzzles on the floor - all while taking in the breathtaking lake views. Don't miss the sunrise over the lake in the morning! We even got to witness a full blood orange moon rising over the lake in the evening. We are already planning our next trip! Thank you, Mike and Terry for such a great time!
