information about The Bare Dark Sky Observatory near Burnsville is one of the few places in North Carolina where you can still see a true night sky without light pollution.
Located at Earth to Sky Park, this spot gives you the chance to look through one of the largest public telescopes in the Southeast and see planets, stars, and distant galaxies on clear nights.
There’s also a planetarium on site with a full dome projection system, so even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can still experience the night sky in a different way.
