Enjoyed my stay, everything apart from the room was great, the room was dated but overall I enjoyed my experience.

In the middle of the city centre

Posted 16-Feb-2017
Mini bar not filled on arrival. Paid for executive room but snacks were a joke!! Coffee machine in room didnt work. Shower temp kept changing so almost scalded myself. Spirit decanters got topped up while we were in room and previous guests leftovers wernt poured out so could have added anything to it, so we avoided drinking from any of them!! Room very noisy as we were stuck next door to the maintenance room so there was hammering at 9am!! Never again, total waste of money.

Great city centre hotel

Posted 16-Jan-2017
Absolutely love the location of this hotel, bang in the centre of everything shops, bars, railway, museums and galleries. The hotel itself is very clean and staff were really friendly. Room was spacious and warm. The complimentary mini bar was great fully stocked when we arrived plenty of choice. Will defiantly be going back.

Beautiful hotel in heart of Glasgow!

Posted 16-Jan-2017
Great location, with excellent staff and rooms. The bed was a real queen mattress and comfortable! The room was spacious and clean. The extra perks from the hotel from the free coffee/tea all day to free spirits in the evening are great! A wonderful stay!

Great all rounder hotel

Posted 11-Dec-2016
This hotel is a cut above simply because of all the little extras that make it so special. Staff all lovely made to feel welcome. We had club room with balcony upgraded on arrival, asked reception if they could send ice bucket and got lovely glasses of champagne as well, not that this was needed though with stocked minibar. Room was very cosy and bed sooo comfortable my only negative and this so grudgingly put is that it prob could do with bit of an upgrade but this did not affect my stay. Executive lounge was perfect , enough staff buzzing around to help if needed but you felt comfortable enough to hep yourself to coffee/cake during the day or a nice glass of wine beside the fire in the evening. I can understand why there are so many returning guests, the location is perfect for everything- I shall be coming back in the summer for sure for some more!

Not what it used to be!!

Posted 08-Dec-2016
Not what it used to be. Booked Club Room as said had extra snacks and nibbles plus a bit more comfort. Rooms becoming a little tired. Snacks consisted of one small box of Pringles and one 2 pack of biscuits. Queried this and was told that was it. Free mini bar!! Both of us like wine but only one small individual bottle of white but no red! Foned to ask and told only allowed one of each!! They did give us 2 small red eventually!! Asked to change tonic to diet tonic and told there was no flexibility!! This was the male on reception who dealt with us! Staff in past great as stayed many times before. Staff in Exec Lounge excellent and what we were used to before. Will think twice before booking again!!

Pros: The complimentary minibar and decanters is a really nice touch.
Cons: The breakfast could definitely do with being improved - all eggs should be freshly cooked!
Location: brilliant location right in the centre of Glasgow, there is a bus from the airport that stops next door to the hotel, couldn't be more convenent
Very comfortable room, although the noise of the air conditioning unit (I think) outside the window was a bit irritating, lovely staff, ideal location. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Glasgow, but next time we will ask for a room which looks out onto the square rather than onto the courtyard. The only thing that lets it down is the rather average breakfast - I ordered scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, the eggs (tasteless and watery) had been sitting on the hot counter for quite a while, then ladled onto the plate with the salmon and left there to chill nicely until one of the waitresses got round to bringing me the plate. the salmon was too salty, not very tender and heavily smoked - overall, not very nice. My husband was disappointed with the sausages, which looked very inviting but he said had very little flavour.
