Excellent

Excellent hotel with lovely loch views and great rooms, staff are friendly and always willing to help. Lots of facilities to suit everyone and the food at the restaurants was outstanding. Had a great time, and honestly couldn't fault a thing.

The hotel is in a lovely location. When the skies cleared , snowy Ben Lomond revealed itself. Disappointingly the experience within the hotel itself was poor. The room was noisy, the heating left off and towelling robe missing. Evening dining and breakfast experience was marred by forgetting our order, food debris on seats and we were initially told the Grill was fully booked but there were empty tables. Would have liked to have made this a special place to stay in again but found it wasn't up to scratch.

Great Getaway

Posted 12-Feb-2017
That's the second time we have been to Cameron House only this time took the kids who had a great time in the pool and games room. The kids enjoyed exploring the grounds surrounding the hotel and down at the loch. The pilot on the seaplane let my son have a look around and take some pictures which made his day. Love this hotel and it's scenery. Boat trip is a must and love how you can make your stay casual or get all dressed up as the dining options caters for everything.

Exeptional

Posted 02-Feb-2017
I booked this hotel for its location on Loch Lomond to propose to my partner and it was truly exeptional. All of the staff were delightful particularly the concierge team. We dined in the Grill restaurant and the food was to avery hire standard. Our waitress Laura helped to make our night very special with complementary truffles and a congratulations message. We also received a free bottle of bubbly to congratulate us on our engagement 10/10

Lovely hotel

Very nice hotel room very comfortable and good size. Few slip ups in service at meal times that were elementary and would not have expected from a 5* hotel: we had to ask for cutlery for dessert and at breakfast there was no butter on the table and no teaspoon on my cup and saucer. Watch out for the Jacuzzi in the leisure area, it was so powerful it bruised my hip. Lovely setting and very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

Expensive for what you get Spa not included and charged £80 per couple for a 2hour experience Staff are slow They're not organised Food service was terrible Spent best part of £1000 on two nights with spa access and expensive food/drinks that weren't worth it. Won't be going again.

Supposed 5 Star Hotel - 3 Star Max

Posted 16-Jan-2017
Pros: The location
Cons: Housekeeping is a must.
Location: Loch Lomond
The lift was dirty & tatty. Mirrors in hallway to bedrooms were covered in dust, someone had written 'clean me' on one, this was still there when we departed 2 days later. Bedroom was dusty, blinds broken, 2 lamps didn't work and new light bulbs were required. Paintwork on bathroom door all chipped and scruffy. Bathroom not cleaned properly. Bath plug did not hold water in bath and there was no hot water at night. Chair in bedroom had make up smeared on woodwork. Springs were sagging one side of bed. Overall the decor was Jaded and the room far from the luxurious 5 Star Hotel experience we had paid for. Aside from the extremely poor housekeeping the Restaurant staff were pleasant though obviously not silver service trained. We were also disappointed on our 2nd night when we chose to eat in the Scots Bar after reading the menu in our room. The same menu was on the table in the bar however when we tried to order we were told that they do not serve food after 5 anymore & that the menus should not have been available! This was all totally unacceptable for a Hotel claiming to be 5 Star & charging accordingly.

Excellent location

Views over the loch are excellent and well located to travelling around the loch. The Cameron Grill served great food and there was a great pre-dinner bar to relax in.

Exceptional hotel close to the loch

Posted 29-Nov-2016
This is our 4th stay here and yet again exceptional service from staff. We only go on special occasions as it's quite expensive. The Spa is stunning and I can't fault the room, food, service or Spa. We paid extra for a Loch view room, however it's the smallest room we have stayed in yet, so next time I don't think I would pay the extra money for the view. Staff go out their way to say hello and offer assistance when passing. Highly recommend! 5Star!
