Stunning views

Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Starting from Scott who greeted us at the door and made us feel right at home. Beautiful facility and comfortable rooms. Would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others. The boathouse restaurant was great and our server Kaitie did a great job!! Thanks to the Cameron House for a great experience.

Hotel has good facilities. Staff disorganised

Posted 03-Sep-2016
Pros: It's setting on the loch and scenery second to none.
Cons: Hotel needs updating and redecorating. All waiting staff need training they are totally disorganised. Management need replacing or retrained also
Location: Location excellent but you need a car to get around. Boat trips available from marina but very expensive also flying boat in front of hotel.
Hotel lobby dark and dingy concierge very good. Service in restaurants very poor especially at breakfast staff not trained properly totally disorganised. Dirty tables in bars staff very poor disorganised as restaurants. Typically main course provided before starter. Five star prices 2 star quality. Driving range very poor not fit for purpose. Staff in golf shop polite but when you pay for 100 balls you are given 80. When this is pointed out no apology offered but a flippant remark, too poor to rate. Housekeeping staff very good and hard working. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this is the worst in my experience. The new owners need to spend out on training their staff properly and redecorate in many areas. Not an experience to repeat.

Simply beautiful!

Posted 03-Sep-2016
My husband and I wanted a short get away and we're recommended cameron house. It's more of an adult get away with beautiful scenery, an abundance of lovely places to eat and plenty of places to go to on day trips. Once we'd got there we were dissappointed that we hadn't booked more time to stay there but we will definitely be back soon. Beautiful place, great staff amd facilities. We highly recommend!!

Great restaurants, we went to the Mark Wishart and were so impressed. Yes it's expensive but it's worth it

Unfortunately, it was pouring with rain when we stayed at Cameron House so we couldn't fully appreciate the beautiful setting but this was the perfect place to spend a rainy day in Scotland! Everything about the hotel exuded luxury and the rooms were no different. We stayed in a standard room and it was more than spacious for two with a huge bathroom. The facilities were excellent - just what we needed to escape from the Scottish "summer" (we just wished we could have spent more time outside taking gorgeous surroundings). Our only complaint was that it was extremely busy at breakfast (which to be fair, the hotel had warned us about) and we had to ask three times and wait 30 minutes before the toast we had ordered arrived. So our tip would be to avoid the busy breakfast time!

Nice hotel in a beautiful location

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: Location plus the swimming pool is very nice
Cons: More lighting in the reception area.
We have stayed here at least three times before so knew what to expect. We felt that our room this time was rather small for the price we paid and it had no real view. We arrived dead on check in time at 3pm but our room was not ready so we had to go and wait elsewhere....I thought we should have been offered a complimentary tea or coffee whilst we waited the 30 minutes for the room to become available. Other than that no complaints.

Nice hotel, not 5 star

Posted 14-Aug-2016
Hotel itself lovely, facilities & bar area are great. However we had afternoon tea which wasn't anything special, bedroom was dusty & had problem with the mattress that we had to complain about, service often a bit unprofessional. No major issues, but all detracted from a 5 star experience.
