"Super nice, helpful hosts. Comfortable, clean space. Gorgeous property on a surreal beautiful beach. Extremely quiet, very off the beaten path. Loved it here."
"Hot tub is great, a lot to see great scenery. I really enjoyed myself. I did not realize the host lived next-door, but it wasn’t a problem. He was very helpful in the check-in process and checked in even after we arrived to make sure everything was going well. We had a great time."
"This property was absolutely beautiful! It was everything my family and I wanted. We wanted a place where we could enjoy being right on Lake Superior and the outdoor space was AMAZING! It had some beach space which it looked like other properties around did not. We used the firepit almost every night and the host even provided the wood to burn. Multiple Adirondack chairs to use to either enjoy the fire, look out over the lake or sit on the deck. Having a washer and a dryer available to use was a godsend with a family of 6. The beds were super comfortable. Checking in was extremely simple as well."
Tranquil Lakeside Retreat on Freighter's Bay in Paradise, Michigan
10/10 Excellent
"We chose this property because of its proximity to tahquamenon falls and whitefish point. I was such a peaceful, well maintained, and spacious property. The views of the lake were breathtaking and we wish we had booked a longer stay we so enjoyed everything. I did notice that the only spoons in the kitchen were soup spoon size and there were only about 5 or so of those. So having enough variety of silverware for a family of 4 and not having to wash the dishes are constantly could be a subtle improvement. But if I had asked the property owners they might have addressed that right away, I just did not ask about it."

8/10 Good
"This is a spacious house with a fun kids’ room with 4 twin beds. nice living room, good size kitchen table, and another sitting room in back. Kitchen with a reasonable amount of dishes, pots, pans and some basic spices. Comfortable bedrooms upstairs with good dresser storage, could use some hangers (none found in any of the closets). water pressure was very sensitive and we couldn’t run 2 water sources simultaneously. easy access to a sandy beach that goes on forever and has a very wide sandbar so the kids were able to go out very far! we didn’t see any rocks on the beach but whitefish point had ample rocks. we weren’t able to use the outdoor space given the mosquitos at this time of year. the house had a bunch of fans to keep mosquitos away, which was appreciated. we didn’t use the front door and only came in the side carefully to try to avoid bringing mosquitos in, but i think it was just that time of year. the side mud room type space was helpful for trying to avoid bringing in bugs, sand or dirt."
