Island View Hotel Bar Harbor

"We visited in October for 3 nights as my wife was running the MDI Marathon. Pros: Staff was great! Very friendly and provided local recommendations on restaurants and even provided a list of trails grouped by difficulty on arrival. The view of our room was amazing! The pictures online looked good but it was even better in person. Definitely book a room with a view of the ocean. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The tv was great and I was able to watch some college football. Again, the view from our room was amazing. Cons: The bathroom and room were older/dated. We didn’t notice it in the room as much as in the bathroom. Our room had an earthy smell to it the whole time. Not sure if it was only our room. It wasn’t a major issue for us. We would leave the door open for a few hours while we were at home and the smell would be mostly gone for the day. We didn’t report it because it wasn’t a major issue for us. Cleaning staff didn’t come during our 3 nights to clean/tidy/empty trashes. Not bad as much as just odd because that has never been something I’ve experienced. Overall: This is an awesome place overall and we would definitely stay here again."
The Inn on Mount Desert

"The Inn is clean and well kept. It’s about a 10 minute walk to town but all sidewalks leading there. Breakfast cooked fresh each morning when you order by great staff. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds!"

"Our room was a little close to the lobby and could be loud at times. But otherwise it was a good stay. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and were happy to have included parking as the town was super walkable."

Acadia Ocean View Hotel

"From a picture, we thought we would be closer to the water. There was a little view of it. This would be a great place for families with children in the warmer months, pool, and lots of room to run around or ride bikes. This is an older hotel that has been updated. We wanted to Uber into Bar Harbor but no Ubers were in the area. Luckily we were able to find parking both evenings."
Seasider Motel

"We did a lot of walking while we were here. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to all the restaurants and shopping. Great location for us. Staff were great. We felt like it was a great value for what we received. We also enjoyed the carry and go breakfast. We ended up using them as snacks after our many hikes."
