Quick 20 minute drive to Tanglewood, 5 minutes to Ski Butternut, 15 minutes to Catamount Ski Mountain, 350 feet walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops of downtown Great Barrington and plenty more! Short walk to a great lake with a beach area - bring your dogs and family to swim in or walk around and enjoy the nature reservation! The Space: Your home away from home has everything you need to enjoy all that the Berkshires have to offer from relaxing to being active with a hike or shopping and eating in town. The kitchen has all new stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, and Bosch dishwasher. The kitchen is open to the living room and dining area. Kitchen is stocked with all the cooking/serving necessities including: cookware, pots, pans, plates, cups, and silverware. The dining table seats a total of 10-12 guests. The living room has a large and comfortable U shaped leather couch that seats up to 10-12, a gas fireplace, and a 65 inch UHD smart TV with streaming capabilities and streaming live TV (SlingTV) as well as apps. You are also welcome to login to your Netflix and other streaming devices through the Samsung smart tv apps. We've recently added two new Sonos speakers that work on both Bluetooth and WiFi, making it easy to connect and enhance your stay with high-quality sound. The home features two full bathrooms, both recently upgraded with brand new shower systems designed to elevate your stay. Located on the first and second floors, each shower now includes a large rain shower head paired with a handheld sprayer, offering flexibility and comfort. The experience is truly spa-like, with excellent water pressure that makes every shower feel refreshing and indulgent. Perfect for unwinding after a day exploring Great Barrington. Outdoors: Sit on the huge deck in teak rocking chairs or comfy egg wire chairs overlooking the tree topped mountains, rolling grass yard, and depending on the time of year the gorgeous old historic town buildings. Bedroom 1: located on the first floor, has one queen bed with ensuite stand up shower and two sinks. The pros are you can easily walk to the great downtown. It’s a big hill but a very close walk. And you can walk to the lake which is great for kids. The property was very clean and works well if you need 3 bedrooms. It’s not a huge lawn but big enough for kids to play. It sleeps a lot of people and the common spaces are large and accommodating. It's a quick walk to downtown Great Barrington. This was a great place for our dog, who had to sniff everything. Spectacular views from the mostly glass side of the living room. The house has giant windows, high ceilings, a gas fireplace, and comfortable beds! It was a perfect place to relax, read, unwind and spend time together! You can walk down the hill/driveway and you are right in the heart of downtown which is lovely! Beautiful shops and fantastic coffee shops/restaurants. I am thankful that the weather was unseasonably warm because I would not have wanted to navigate the hilly driveway in winter weather. We got bumped 24 hours before leaving for the Berkshires and started a panic search for properties that would fit our small groups needs in a 911 fashion. This property looked perfect and the property owner was excellent to communicate with and to allow us to get settled into a reservation for same allowing us to save our trip. Five of us slept very comfortably in the house, with space for more if you have larger groups. The Miraval Spa was 20-25 minutes away and the house was a great, more economical alternative to staying overnight at the spa, given the size of our group. The house manager was very communicative and checked in several times during our stay. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The house was also a short walk right to the heart of Main Street in Great Barrington. Great experience and would be very happy to rent again. ##### Iris C. It was clean, as pictured, fully equipped and very comfortable for our 8 guests. You can walk to Main Street in minutes and Butternut Mountain is a 5 minute ride away. It is really well-located. If I were to say one small downside, it would be the awkward road and driveway up to the house. It is a bit confusing at first and if it is snowing, you would definitely need a 4 W drive car (which is stated in the reservation). Other than that, it was really great! ##### Melanie P. We did enjoy our stay dispite the terrible access to the house over a very rutted dirt road that ran dangerously close to railroad tracks. When a train went by it sounded like it was coming thru the living room. The house was nice with basic appointments but lacked adequate and comfortable seating. We were 7 senior adults and the only living room seating was one couch with no additional chairs. The kitchen table had uncomfortable wooden bench seating for six with no chair pads on the hard benches. The outdoor deck was not usuable with only 2 Adirondack chairs. The listing said it could accomodate up to 14 guests but there was not enough seating for anywhere near that amount of people!
