Mid November fishing trip with my oldest boys. The weather this time of year can be cold and damp, but we always looked forward to returning to this place as it was cozy, clean and welcoming!
We attended a family reunion 2 hours away from home. Plenty of room. Clean, comfortable, quiet! In the morning, we saw a deer walking in thd driveway.
Would definitely rent again!
Linger Longer was a perfect fit for us. The cabin was clean and cozy when we arrived. Plenty of parking for our three trucks and trailers. Close to endless trails for our daily outings. Contacting the host was simple and they were quick to take care of our needs. My group and I would highly recommend staying here!
The pictures were spot on, the house was super clean and had more provided than other places we have stayed. Only complaint is that the smoke alarms were so sensitive that the steam from the shower set of the one in the bedroom and both times we used the oven the smoke alarm went off in the dining room. So not really a true complaint!
The check in process was super easy and this was a great property to use as home base to visit family in the area. Highly recommend!
A quiet, dark stay was wanted. A queit, mostly dark stay is what it was. An oasis away from home. The nature all singing their songs throughout the day was a symphony to our ears. The loft rooms pleased the teenagers. Enjoyed playing yahtzee with the hunny. Also, It was plenty cool for everyone at night. Kitchen was enjoyable and accessible to cook in. The photos online deff enlarged the spaces because in person although plenty cozy it is not as spacious as one might think. Lol! We did enjoy going into town about 20 min. So, The space and the big bright lights in the yard are my only complaints. But the darkness was a big part of the need. We needed to get away from the city. To the water and the dark and the quiet. I could not find the 3 min walk to the river. I feel that is not correctly advertised lol. Oh, and the gps took me down a road that way not i don't think an actual road. So, beware. Enter at the lodge where the roads splits.
We enjoyed a much needed get away, family vacation and this was perfect. We took our granddaughter fishing for her first time at Bright and glory lakes by Hartwick Pines. Then to the UP over the mighty Mac for her first time.Introducing her to the northern Michigan we love.Camp fires, wildlife. This is a great “base camp” for exploring northern Michigan . The house was perfect. Very clean and quiet. We had deer though the yard every night.
We stayed here over July 4 weekend and couldn’t be happier. House was well equipped only draw back was bedrooms upstairs had to use bathroom downstairs but we made it work not a big deal.
My friend and I who have known each other pretty much our whole life stayed at Linger Longer for the 2025 Turkey season. My friend BB has been turkey hunting the Huron National Forest since he was 12 years old. His father introduced him to the area and to turkey hunting at all them years ago. He is now 50 and I'm just a couple years younger. Unfortunately his father can no longer chase birds around the woods, BB's father was able to come spend a couple nights with us and spend time with us at Turkey Camp. I've only been to turkey camp a few times and was not going to another if we were staying in a tent or camper. So that was that and it was my job to find a place to stay. When I saw pictures of Linger Longer I thought this will be more than enough. So I sent the link to BB and he immediately said, "book it." We were both more than pleased with with the Linger Longer home and the amenities. The place looked like it had recently been upgraded and remodeled and was very clean and homey feeling. The beds felt brand new and are nice and firm. Just the way we both like our beds. We stayed 7 nights and cooked on the beautiful gas stove for every meal. The location for us was great besides the fact we had to drive almost 45 minutes to hunt our favorite spot we soon realized part of the Huron National Forest was right across the street from the Linger Longer. We both started to think maybe our new favorite spot could be right out the front door and we could make this our new Turkey C
