"The property is a modernized old farm house. I reiterate its an old farm house and it fits the description perfectly.This property is in the country. That being said, that was the appeal for us in choosing this property. Probably 25 mintues to Galena and 40 to Dubuque. The views are spectacular. "Extremely clean room, lovely staff, and the pub being there was awesome. We were on the first floor and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. They put chocolate bags on the bed for V Day. Always have coffee and tea available and do teatime in the afternoons. Beautiful library in lobby as well. Highly recommend!"

"We had such a wonderful experience. Host was great at communicating and was so kind to leave a few treats to enhance our stay. The accommodations were very quaint, comfortable and clean and appreciated that they stocked items just in case (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.). Parking was a big plus as was the very close proximity to downtown Galena- easy walk but far enough away from the hustle & bustle. Hope to stay again soon! "

"Steve was super welcoming and friendly. Home was well- appointed with all the bits and bobs we needed and more! We had lovely walks around the property, and thoroughly enjoyed the sun room with the gas fireplace. Even the drive up to the house is beautiful. What a lovely place to stay - wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely come back."
