The first thing we noticed was the dirty couch with the spots and a tear in it (it felt greasy and we didn't sit on it). Then the dog-chewed end table, the baseboard trim held on with painter's tape, the loose electric outlets missing their covers and the complete lack of any utensil or dish in the kitchenette.
However, the place was clean which is a tribute to the housecleaning staff, and the bed was comfortable.
BUT the artwork over the bed did fall on us at 6:AM narrowly missing my wife's face. It seems the anchors in the wall had been ripped out and just pushed back in.
The front desk did call us the morning before check-in to warn us that they had very limited hours, which we thought was a courtesy, but really just meant that we had to be there or be locked out. When we left, the desk wasn't open so we left the key and couldn't report the artwork incident.
I've heard the place is changing hands, I hope it gets the care it needs, it could be charming with a little maintenance and money
