Thank you to Estrella for a fabulous stay in her wonderful Carmen in Albaicin, Granada. Her unique and comfortable house was a fantastic base to explore Granada and the Albeicin district. With great views of the Alhambra the house was a very comfortable and picturesque location. Highly recommended.
This villa includes magnificent views of the Alhambra, four bedrooms, with space for seven sleepers, a private garden, a secure car park, and a swimming pool. The villa is an indeterminate age, but some of the architectural details clearly date back several hundred years. The villa is tastefully decorated with artwork related to the family which owns/rents it. There is a convenient grocery within a ten minute walk, several of the best restaurants we found in Granada within a five minute walk, and an afternoon tapas bar 100 meters away. There a few aspects to consider about the house and location. First, is the number of stairs, this is not a villa for anyone with mobility concerns. From the entrance to the walled enclosure to the villa entrance requires navigating three (short) flights of stairs and most of the bedrooms are on a lower level accessible by a stairway with higher treads than typically found today. Second, due to the amount of artwork, I would be wary of bringing rambunctious children (or adults) to this location. The value of the artwork appears to be sentimental only, but it would be a shame for any of it to be damaged. Third, as this villa sits more than half-way up the Albaicin, returning from any expedition into the city (or to the Alhambra itself) requires significant stair climbing. Due to the location of the villa, taxies cannot easily reach the entrance, although they can deposit passengers on the Carril de San Agustin where it joins the Las Casas del Morro which is a short walking distance from the villa.
Highly recommended for people who don't mind walking or stairs. Not recommended for people with serious mobility issues.

Très belle maison, pleine de charme
Très belle Carmen, pleine charme avec une piscine magnifique et différents niveaux de terrasses et jardins. Il faut avoir de bonnes jambes (beaucoup d'escaliers - à l'image de Grenade !) et si en voiture bien se repérer dans l'espace - la rue doit faire 1m90 de large. Mais cela fait partie du charme de cette maison. E. et A. savent donner de bons conseils et sont aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes.

Sehr schönes traditionelles Haus mit Garten und Pool, ruhig, schön und sehr gepflegt. 4 komfortable Schlafzimmer, drei davon mit En Suite Bad. Die Sicht auf die Alhambra ist traumhaft. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

A magical place in the historic center of Granada
A magical place in the historic center of Granada. A pretty Carmen with a breathtaking view of the Alhambra. Parking in the center of Albayzin is a luxury and a very quiet area despite the proximity of restaurants and bars. The shuttles stop close to the house. The beds are comfortables.

Magical place
A 12 metre private pool, terraces and hidden patios, all behind a wall in one of the alleys in the Albycin district of the city, overlooked by the Alhambra. An amazing place. The house is spacious - our en suite room also had a private sitting room / library - and full of antiques. Special mention for XXX, the keyholder who did so much to help us into and out of the property, a really lovely person.

Una antica dimora del 1600, con splendidi terrazzamenti fioriti e una piscina in un contesto meraviglioso. Per gli amanti degli ambienti d'epoca, adatta a gruppi di amici visto le tante stanze e i 4 bagni
