What a view! We arrived via the gravel road from the Hvita River valley, great drive. Easy check in, we got in early too. We were in the lodge building away from the main building where we were the inly guests. After some sight seeing we returned and had drinks in the dining area where the picture window views are amazing. As a group of four we all agreed that this was a unique rest stop and full of surprises. Steinar the owner, was a lovely host and the whole place was totally relaxed. The pods we slept in were more than adequate, warm and cosy despite being December. The Expedia pictures did not do the surrounding area justice, as we had no idea about the river and waterfall that ran in front of the main building, or the troll walks that had all been created by Steinar as well as the books he had written.
