We had been traveling for about 18 hours when we finally arrived at the hotel. We were treated warmly and our room was ready even though we were there before check-in time. The room had a view of the water, was very clean, had tea and coffee in the room, along with biscuit snacks. The bathroom had a lovely shower, however it was impossible to keep the water inside the shower due to its design. We enjoy a full English breakfast which was delicious and more than enough. The hotel is in town, so very convenient to get around.

Excellent, clean, and friendly staffed hotel. Only advise - there are two car parks that appear for two different properties but you can use both.

A truly comfortable and pampered stay. David and Tonny do not have to do any effort to make your stay feel unique as they have in themselves the art of hosting. Great attention to detail; nothing goes unnoticed, from the small shampoo bottles left open in the shower, and then carefully closed to the meticulously prepared deliciously cooked breakfast. Not a single thing out of place; not a single desire not catered for. David seems the one who does the cooking while Tonny the one serves the food, and prosecco! All works out in clockwork precision. Recommended

Hi everyone, This hotel is a gem in Torquay, the staff are excellent, the rooms are clean, the eveing food is exceptional, the breakfast (I was not around due to work for the hot food) but had a nice selection of cold like cereal, melon, meats etc. Would I stay again YES

If you have longer stays (for example, mine was 12 days for a conference), this isn't the hotel for you, especially in the summer. There is no air conditioning. There was an unfortunate heatwave when I stayed there, which made the lack of A/C even more pronounced. My room was tiny with no bureau to put my clothes. I had to live out of my suitcase. The bed was hard, and the pillows were even harder. For the price I paid, I was surprised that the hotel was like this. Even the carpets in the hallways were stained. Perhaps it's an American thing, but for that long a stay, I would have liked to have had a mini-fridge in my room. They also do not provide ice. They do have tea and coffee in the room. The front desk staff was accommodating, but they didn't go above and beyond (rarely a smile). I added breakfast to my hotel fee each day. It wasn't bad. They will make you items à la carte if it isn't on the buffet. The staff in the breakfast area were very kind and accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance of most places in the town. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I probably wouldn't stay there again.
