One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had (and I do stay at 5-star places regularly). Spacious and clean room with great lighting and chairs and windows that open, and hooks, and big bottles of filtered water. Great food. The warmest, most welcoming staff ever, with sharp competent energy all of them, who never looked like they didn't want me to approach but instead were relaxed and made eye contact readily and seemed genuinely pleased to see me. I said once "I want to live here" and she said "we would love to have you" -- untrue I'm sure but SO KIND! Lovely garden, and many places to sit and relax and read and have tea. I genuinely cannot gush enough. Liam helped me hire a driver for a wonderful day out -- he is a treasure. THANK YOU HAYFIELD MANOR. I'll be back someday.

"DON'T DO IT. JUST DON'T. So I was booked to stay here several days, and left after 1 night. That should be enough said, but to be precise about the problems, they are as follows: (1) There's no climate control. So there's no AC, but also, each room has ONLY an A4 (8x10ish) sized single window pane ..."
