Great… EXCEPT
Everything was great with the exception of the check in process. Since this property is a timeshare, the owner is to book the rsvp under the travelers name. Checking in was a nightmare & the staff made it worse they urged me to leave because I was “scammed” after my family & I drove for hours to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday. I will say, when I contacted the host they were pretty quick to fix things and I was able to check in fine. The property is beautiful. Everything was great otherwise.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
We always enjoy our annual trip to Shenandoah Crossings. With the fall season in full swing, the cabin is a great way to embrace the beauty of it all. It is a peaceful place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Fun for the whole family!
The cabins were clean and super comfortable. Really enjoyed the pools, putt-putt course, and walking the beautiful property and seeing all the horses. There's something for everyone here!

Resort was GREAT, rental property manager was TERRIBLE
PLEASE READ: First of all, the resort was wonderful. The pools were great for adults and kids and the grounds were perfect for a glamping trip. My little one loved riding around in the golf cart. The front desk and employees that we encountered were also great. A HUGE Thank You to Jennifer and Chelsea at the front desk for helping us with our reservation nightmare (described below). I encourage you to simply Google Resort Rental Pros and you can make your own conclusions. I will also warn you that when they say "you can possibly get upgraded during your stay to a superior room category", that sometimes means you need to physically check out of a room at the resorts check-out time (in this case 10am) and NOT be able to check back in until the check-in time (in this case 4pm). If not for the resort staff itself, Resort Rental Pros (RRP) was creating a situation where a family with an infant and small child had NO PLACE to stay for the majority of a 95 degree day in the summer, with a refrigerator full of food and luggage for 4. When addressed with them, they had previously said to "tell the resort you don't want to upgrade", but that is not the resorts problem as it wasn't booked through them. They had to move us because that is what was reserved. When I addressed this with RRP, they did not seem to care at all and said "they were trying to get in touch with the owner, but were unsuccessful". They were incredibly insensitive and did not show any intent on helping us with the situation. That story appears all over their reviews online. I had to get VRBO involved and have reported this incident. The resort will most likely take action as well as, I was told, this is against their policy too. Stay at the resort, but do your research before booking!

I didn’t stay here through VRBO
We called the property to check our reservations and were told we did not have a reservation and the resort did not use sites like vrbo. We called and did live chat with vrbo who tried to contact the listing owner with no luck. We also did not have any follow-up calls from support. I may not use vrbo again. A refund has not been provided.

Confirmation Nightmare
My problem was not with the resort. VRBO promised confirmation 4-5 days before arrival. The resort had no record of my stay and added that they had never heard of VRBO. You had no problem charging my credit card but my name was wrong, the reservation overlapped and they only had me registered for 2 nites (Which I find out at the desk on my arrival!) I had to travel 15 hours to arrive there all the time worrying that I would have no cabin at all when I arrived! I e-mailed the resort manager twice and left her 2 voice mails with no response. I think there are too many people involved in this process. VRBO (who charged me $46 for this mess, then Resort Rental Pros are involved, plus the resort itself.) My final confirmation came to my cell phone at 2:29 am on the day of my arrival! The entire process was a nightmare, Never again will I use VRBO!

Quiet getaway
We visited in the last few days of the off-season and the resort was pretty quiet, which we enjoyed. There were several activities being offered but we found the quiet we were looking for. Our cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable.
