And some basics that are expected in this caliber hotel - tea options (we were given 2 on our first night and they were never topped up, usually one is offered a selection that are often replenished), to drink a cup of tea we always had to go downstairs. So couldn’t enjoy a quiet morning/evening tea on the balcony. Slipper in the room - felt a bit cheeky make us pay for them, nespresso machine - is also the standard these days in good hotels. Questions and queries were often met with an eye roll and a reply suggestive that I have no idea what I’m talking about and this is the standard in such hotels. Such as asking about a late check out (check out is 10.30am and if you want to stay longer, you have to pay 29€ or 79€ per person).
