Pros: The location to get to Cape Lookout for and early morning ferry was excellent and it was super quiet each night. Comfy beds and plenty of parking. Cons: The house had a strong old smoke smell throughout the house. Additionally there are areas in the floor that are super soft indicating rot. Everything was very worn (sheets, furniture covers, towels). Salt, pepper, coffee grounds, and a bottle of mac'n'cheese were literally the only things stocked in the kitchen. We were were super disappointed with this rental mainly due to the overall strong house old smoke smell. We didn't contact the owner during our 2 night stay as this wasn't a problem that could be fixed during our time there. It presented as an old mobile home that had a hard life and used to be be heavily smoked in, was painted and turned over as a rental. I wouldn't recommend it even for the convenience of the location.

We found everything we needed inside of Revival Retreat; peace, quiet, comfortable. We spent just one night and would return for another visit to the area.
