Even arriving late at night, we were immediately made to feel welcome by Deb, who had thoughtfully warmed up the cottage for our arrival. Her genuine hospitality shone through from that very first moment.The accommodation was spotless, cozy and thoughtfully equipped—we especially appreciated the kitchen essentials like oil, salt, and a generous quantity of fresh free-range eggs and locally sourced bacon (which was so delicious we had to ask where she got it!). Our first evening was magical - breathing in the crisp country air under a spectacular canopy of stars. In the morning, we woke up breathtaking views of sunlit paddocks stretching towards majestic mountain ranges.We also thoroughly enjoyed the farm tour, where we met the horses, dogs, sheep, alpacas, and chickens. The horses were so friendly and it was so much fun feeding them carrots and apples that we had picked up from nearby Avoca. As Deb shared stories of farm life, we felt deep admiration and respect for her passion and resilience required in rural living. Throughout our stay, her customer service was impeccable, checking in periodically to ensure we had everything we needed.This experience delivered everything we could have wanted from a country escape - complete tranquility, stunning scenery, and authentic hospitality at its finest.
