The house was quaint. Low ceilings (which we often bumped our heads on at night). The place was cute in a rural area we enjoyed.The bad news1) we (my fault) booked one more night than we needed. We fully booked 1 month prior to arriving, and when we contacted Cottages.com they said we were too close to the checkin date to alter the reseration.2) why were we contacting Cottages.com and not VRBO ? Because the VRBO chat tool to contact the host gave us errors everytime we messaged the host. Telling us our email address was wrong. Pardon ? I changed the email address, that didn't help. Then I called VRBO on the phone (because their bot chat was completely unhelpful). The representative assured me we would not have further problems, and the checkin instructions would arrive prior to our arrive.3) the checkin instructions did not arrive. This time I called Cottages.com myself (avoided VRBO). After 30 minutes on the phone, Cottages emailed me directly the checkin directions.4) the next morning, as we got ready to explore The Isle Of Skye, we could not lock the front door - door lock was not functioning.
