I am from the central CT area originally and typically need a multi-bedroom spot for my wife and toddler son. There isn’t much as far as choices in the area, but this place was great. It’s quiet, clean and cozy. Chris and his wife are great communicators and hosts - they met us to show us around and answer shy questions, and then let us enjoy our stay. The property is beautiful and in a great location. Chris was also nice enough to introduce us to his sheep, donkey and chickens in the morning, which my son absolutely loved. Can’t recommend enough. We are very likely to be back on our next visit.
We were visiting family in the area and didn't want to burden them with house guests—Wooly Acres seemed like a good solution and we weren't disappointed! The space is cozy with a sizable bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room and we loved the historic charm of the decor—especially the interior wood shutters and latch doors. The grounds are also lovely. We wondered if there would be a strong "barn smell" in the heat—but there wasn't. And the sheep and donkey were friendly and adorable. Chris and Airika were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Chris greeted us and helped us with our luggage when we arrived and they had stocked the kitchen with breakfast items, including fresh eggs from their chickens. The property is less than 15 minutes from Glastonbury Center—so it was easy to take walks at the Riverfront Park in the morning and swing by Whole Foods for groceries. We are already talking about the next time we will visit!
Beautiful place for a Glastonbury visit. We absolutely loved our time here and only wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was perfect from the historical charm of the farmhouse to the thoughtful breakfast spread. Already planning our next trip back!
