Lots of walks nearby and the tavern in town is a short 5min drive (great food). We stayed here because of the proximity to the zoo; 12mins by car. There is a little orchard on the property and a forest that you can explore with children. It is also located near Australia Zoo (about 10 mins drive) and plenty of eating options too. We enjoyed the fabulous bungalow accommodation set in the heart of the Glasshouse mountains and only a 15 min drive to the Australia zoo. Keith the host was amazing and even helped us check-in 3 hours late. A special mention to Sally who was an extra ray of sunshine at breakfast. A walk around the grounds and seeing the quirky additions and woodland/creek wander is certainly worth doing. Our room had access to a communal kitchen rather than kitchen/fridge facilities within the room, this was described on the website and suited us fine. Keith was absolutely lovely at check in and arranging breakfast.
