Apartment was clean and in fair shape, although carpeting needs replacing. All amenities in kitchen good. En suite shower was tricky to work, as button in shower was broken, and entire unit relied on using switch on outside of bathroom. It was clean and outfitted well enough. As appliances in the UK are different from those in North America it would be helpful to have some manuals, especially since the numbers were worn off the buttons on the hob. The area outside was noisy so no sleeping with the windows open. It’s a busy area as near train station which could be very convenient if travelling on trains, but it felt a little less safe late at night. There is limited parking at the site and as far as I could see on the Expedia site there was no indication that you need to call ahead to reserve a spot which. This was frustrating as we only managed to get parking for one night. However there is a lot across the street (more expensive). The unit itself was a bit better than the public areas but neither were particularly clean. It’s quite noisy and pillows were the very worst I’ve ever used. I also tried to call another phone number and message via hotels.com but received no response. I am a woman travelling on my own and was in an unfamiliar city and had no way of accessing the building or getting the keys to the accommodation. After three hours, as it was now dark, I booked somewhere else to stay.
