Large country home near Glasgow

  • A stunning, well appointed and spacious property in a semi-rural location, just a 20 minute drive to Glasgow City Centre and a 10 minute drive to the M77.
    The house offers guests great flexibility as there are several options to choose from for socialising & relaxing so it’s perfect for larger groups. Generous gardens surround the house creating desirable privacy and there are lovely countryside walks on the doorstep. An abundance of shops, eateries & recreational activities are available nearby

    Upon entering the house you are welcomed into the spacious hallway. Directly from the ground floor hallway, you can access the formal lounge, formal dining room, open plan living/dining/kitchen, one double bedroom and a ‘Jack n Jill’ bathroom which opens directly from the bedroom and also from the hallway (the grey tiled bathroom).

    The open plan living space has bi-fold doors which lead out to a terrace overlooking the lawns. There is also a smart TV in this space. Its a great place for friends and family all to hang out together.

    The Kitchen is well appointed with double Neff ovens, microwave, dishwasher and a full size fridge and separate freezer. There are plenty of pots/pans/cutlery/crockery & glassware for 8 guests.
    There is a washer & dryer in the utility room.

    Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and the family bathroom (green bathroom).
    One of the double bedrooms has an ensuite WC and also the small TV room with the blue corner sofa also opens off this bedroom (we call it Narnia).

    The house is extremely spacious overall with plenty of space for 8 guests to hang out together, or spread out for some quiet time.

    Externally there is a pod in the garden which is lovely for reading a quiet book or playing a board game in the fresh air. There is plenty of parking in the driveway for several cars if your group are travelling separately.

    Access will be via a lockbox. I will send the details for this on the day before you arrive.

    The neighbourhood is a lovely residential area on the outskirts of Glasgow.

    If you prefer not to bring a car, the nearest train station is 2 miles away in Clarkston, which connects directly to Glasgow city centre.

    Our parents live on the grounds of the property in a self contained annex.
    They will be respectful of your privacy and we ask the same in return.
