Givhans Ferry State Park

The hotel itself had a great aesthetic, a beautiful pool area, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the actual room experience was very disappointing. The room was extremely small for my husband, daughter, and myself. The space felt very cramped, including the bathroom, and it made the stay uncomfortable overall. In addition, the TV in the room was broken and would not shut off unless it was unplugged. When I went behind the TV to unplug it, I discovered piles of dust built up behind it. Once the dust was disturbed, the air conditioning circulated it throughout the room, which unfortunately triggered an asthma flare-up. To make matters worse, there was also hair left in the bathtub when I went to shower, which raised concerns about the cleanliness of the room. While the property has a lot of potential aesthetically, the cleanliness, maintenance, and room size made this stay far below expectations.

Our room was clean but a little shabby. Rough remodeling work However, the staff was amazing and were going back (and staying in another room) just because of the staff. Chuck and Miss Dee Dee made us fell at home. One important issue, they have 3 floors with old steep stairs and no elevator! They need to notify clients about this when they chose rooms.
