We did a tour from here and it was easy to get picked up right outside. The riverbed across the street seems potentially walkable though we didn’t try it. "

"We returned to Alice Springs after two days of camping and enjoyed sleeping in Hilton beds! I checked out the pool and discovered it was salt water which helped a lot with my sore muscles from hiking, and also enjoyed the hot tub. "

Helpful friendly staff and provision to leave luggage if going on multi day tours before returning. Slightly aged rooms but we found them clean and well maintained."

"While Alice Springs is a bit rough and tumble, The Diplomat offers an affordable Oasis in the heart of this town. Easy walk to a couple of shopping areas and points of interests and easy pickup for the tour companies. You can certainly go other places for food (definitely recommend The Bakery), but their cafe and tavern are top notch! Great menu and excellent dinner options in the pub. The room was clean and the bathroom was roomy. This is not a high end resort and some TLC and building updates...
