Hotel in the way it looked reminded me of Faulty Towers, having been too England properly before, the description of old stately hotel is apt. My room was great, somehow i booked a room with a double & single bed, so was lot roomier. Thinking if had of booked double room wouldn't have been much bigger than usual Spanish rooms. Decor/room was old (1960's?), with bathroom looking like it was squeezed in where could & bit make shift. But was fully functionable and had a bath as well. Wifi was okay, nothing great but functionable. Bed comfortable and considering location wasn't too noisy at all. Air Con an old stand alone system that made lots of noise and didn't time out as expected, but worked out if i left the windows open all day if then kept cool.
Wasn't in room much but it was more than satisfactory and no complaints (maybe fix the air con). Breakfast was available, sorry not sure if had to be paid for seperately, can't remember. Buffet style - cereal, toast, juice, coffee (nescafe instant), and didn't try but what appeared to be yogurt tubs and ham, eggs & sone other animal by product. Place wasn't cheap, but compared to others and limited decent accommodation on The Rock i was pleased. On the whole the staff were very pleasant. Only real downside was no way to secure your room when out, and each time left hotel needed to drop key at front desk & pick up again. Was annoying and felt my coming & going annoyed the staff but it was their rule.
24 hour desk.
