We stayed in one of the hotel apartments for 9 nights. It was nicely decorated, spacious, with a comfortable bed and handy kitchenette area with fridge. The location was great. We could easily walk into town and had a great choice of buses and the train station nearby. There were bakeries nearby and an excellent pizza place called Lievitamente a few minutes walk from the hotel. It just had a few tables for dining in, but the pizzas tasted amazing (best dough). Incredible stay. We felt so welcomed by the staff from the second we stepped in to the property. They communicated so efficiently with us via WhatsApp and couldn’t have done enough to make our stay amazing. The finishing touches in the rooms such as fresh coffee and utensils every day and blankets added all the more to the fantastic experience. The staff were great, helpful and accommodating. The accommodation was clean and well appointed. Given the current heat it would have been good if bottled was available in the room.

Excellent hotel with a warm atmosphere. You can really feel that this is a hotel run by a family who are passionate in what they do. The room was very clean, it’s in a great location and the staff went above and beyond to help us. In fact, we have found all Austrians to be incredibly hospitable. I would highly recommend. We love this hotel for many reasons: location is perfect, the warmth and kindness and helpfulness of the staff, the size of the rooms and bathroom, wonderful extra touches, fantastic restaurant. It is the embodiment of old world, elegant charm.

Yes, the receptionist was a bit surprised when I pointed at a photo of the original building and told her that I had stayed at the 'old' Schweizerhof back in 1982. Much has changed since them when it comes to the building but I'm pleased to say that the old fashioned standards of great hospitality and nothing is too much trouble are as good as ever. The hotel was slightly quirky which we loved. Really clean room and everything you would need and more. We had a family room which was really spacious and had some great features. Our room for our disabled mum was on the ground floor with patio doors to the garden ,it was immediately next to the dining room and we had 24 hour access to complementary drinks, .Great breakfast... The hotel is family run and everyone could not do enough for you. We had a truly lovely stay and cant wait to go again, the hotel is easily accessible from Salzburg and the autobahn and also has a frequent bus service,again wheelchair friendly.
