In 5 Gehminuten liegt ein Gemüseladen, eine Bäckerei, ein Supermarkt und nur ein bisschen weiter eine Ecke mit weiteren Geschäften, für z.B. Sportkleidung. Zum Stadtzentrum ist es auch nah, wo sich zahlreiche Restaurants und Läden befinden. Ohne Französischkenntnisse kommt man in dieser Gegend nicht weit. Das Haus wurde 2021 grundsaniert. Der Vermieter spricht etwas Englisch, aber mit Übersetzer App heutzutage kein Problem mehr. Die Garage hinterm Haus kann man sehr gut nutzen um seine nassen Sachen wie SUP oder Badematten etc. zu trocknen. Wir waren 5 Personen und ein kleiner Hund. Es ist leider kein Garten dabei, was aber nicht schlimm ist, weil man ja eh den Tag durch draußen unterwegs ist. Zu den Läden kann man laufen und alles ist in 5 min erreichbar. Der See ist ca. 1.5 km 20 min. und nicht wie angegeben 500m entfernt. In Gerardmer sind relativ wenig Parkplätze vorhanden, deswegen sind wir meist nach Xonrupt an den See Longmeer gefahren, weil es da einen großen Parkplatz gibt und der See auch sehr schön ist und mehr Liegeflächen bietet. Das Klima ist durch die Seen und Wälder sehr schön. Fazit: Warum in die Ferne schweifen... ##### Manfred W.
