"If you are coming from the southwest and headed north to destinations such as the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone or Montana, you might consider a night's stay in the southern Idaho town of Montpelier. Depending where you started out your day's journey, Montpelier might be a good place to call your day's destination when it gets to be 5:00-8:00 p.m. and you're tired from a long day behind the driving wheel. If you push yourself to go further and get just a bit closer to your ultimate destination, you might find yourself rewarded with no-vacancy hotels and crazy-expensive rooms. I would rather stop earlier in the day in a quiet town with a clean and reasonably priced motel that allows you to rest and prepare for another traveling day tomorrow. I enjoyed my stay in Montpelier, it's better than many places further north."

"We loved staying here. You could tell how much thought was put into extra details. We loved the fire pit and there was even firewood and roasting sticks already provided. Our kids loved playing on the outdoor playground area. We would definitely stay here again."

"Bed was super comfy. We only stayed to sleep and leave passing thru but once the restaurant next door closed down it got quiet. It’s an older place and close to the train (but we liked that) it didn’t blow its whistle at night but you could hear it on the track."
