"We’ve stayed twice recently, and the rooms are really nice spacious shower, large separate toilet room & sink area ! The one thing I love in a hotel bath, is a makeup mirror and RH is the same as mine at home ! The decor of RH is gorgeous I think! The lobby is so nice the hanging lights are stunning. We love staying there!!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this beautifully upgraded "retro" hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet...including a quiet air conditioner. We were in a deluxe king room with a pretty view of a landscaped hill side and pool. We walked down the path to a good Thai restaurant. Ask at the desk about the mom 'n pop breakfast place around the corner on Bowman. I strongly recommend calling direct (530 885-8444) for best price and service."

"This is a very old hotel with all the scents and quirks of an old hotel. However, it is beautifully maintained and we found the room very clean and the overall property very fun to explore and experience. The parking was easy to get to and from and seemed safe. We encountered no problems. We enjoyed sitting out on the common balcony and watching the evening of the downtown come to life. The shopping up and down the street the next day was lovely. Many shops are closed on Sunday, fyi. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return again!"

"i booked this place after i saw the reviews. however still hesitant because it’s a Motel 6. i was very impressed though. My two rooms were great. furniture was in great condition, bed was great, bathroom was super clean. Main hallways had the look of a motel 6 but once you entered the rooms it was well worth the money. The property was safe and quiet. Also close to multiple restaurants, fast food, and bar which is an easy walk. Highly recommend."

"Staff was great! Very nice and helpful! Room was clean, bed very comfortable, quiet. The town was a surprise. Great choices of places to eat and drink. Shopping included several quaint stores. We only stayed one night passing through but we could see ourselves spending several nights here and exploring the area."

"First, I booked via Expedia. I read an email from the hotel forwarded from Expedia but I failed to see there was an attachment. My bad. We arrived at the hotel around 5 pm. Everything was locked up. I called the hotel and was advised to use the keypad to open the building and again, once inside, to open our room. There was no staff on the premise. We thought we might be the only guests in the hotel but later bumped into a family staying on the floor above us. If I had opened the email attachment I would have been prepared for what we encountered. The person I called with when we arrived could not have been nicer. She even took the initiative to verify that the nearby Monte Vista Restaurant was open for dinner. The Blue Room (Big Four) was clean, had nice bathroom towels and amenities, and WiFi, the bed was comfortable. Once we got over the surprise of no staff, we got into the history of this 1852 gold rush relic and we began to really appreciate our gold rush adventure at the Dutch Flat Hotel."

"No paper towels, except the one roll. A clean, new dish sponge would have been nice. Toilet paper was stored above the kitchen stove, hard to find. No soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. Not enough towels for every guest. Bath tubs did not have drain plugs, so little kids had to shower. Defective sink plug in the downstairs bathroom.There was confusion on check out time. We had three different times printed in the paperwork - 10:00. 10:30 and 11:00.#19. Paddle Boat and two stand-up paddle boards are available. NONE to be found on the property.We did not see trash bins at the shop, so left the trash bags in the Bear Boxes at the house.The Game Room was a hit with the kids.Kathy was very nice and understood us not being ready to leave until 11:00 after I showed her the confusing paperwork.This is a very nice home in a beautiful spot. We expected more for the price, however."
