Marie-Claire & Alain (amateur beekeeper whose hives are kept well away from the gîte), welcome you to a charming authentic traditional 18th century farmhouse, steeped in history & fully restored, nestled in a quiet, "cul de sac", in the heart of a peaceful & picturesque mini rural hamlet crossed by a bucolic little river full of fish (site that once housed a mill). Absolute tranquility, nestled in the rolling countryside, a stone's throw from the first vineyards, on the edge of a beautiful meadow (home to Charolais & Limousin cows in season), under the wooded ridges of the surrounding gentle hills, at the foot of a vast wild forest massif with a literal "Sea of Stones" (geological curiosity made up of several clearings of granite blocks of all sizes over nearly a kilometer). Magnificent rural & natural setting around, partly protected in Natura 2000 Zone & "ZNIEFF" for its faunal & floral riches. Enchanting setting & site, a true haven of peace & rest. Comfortable cottage. Warm country character, a bit rustic, mixed with the totally exotic soul of an old residence. Intimate & very pleasant "enclosed hanging garden" of 80m² bordering the meadows, carefully lawned & planted (supported by historic dry stone walls), with a shaded terrace under reed. Exposed terrace at the foot of the cottage. Access to pétanque ground & ping-pong table. Composition: Gite adjoining the owners' home (total independence). Wifi (fiber). Lovely authentic traditional 18th century farmhouse, full of history & fully restored - with a charming enclosed "hanging" garden of 80m² with a beautiful shaded terrace - nestled in the peace and quiet in the heart of a peaceful & picturesque mini rural residential hamlet, on the edge of meadows under the wooded ridges of the surrounding hills, 11 km from the charming medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, "Clunisian Site" labeled "Cities of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté" (very many amenities on site including a supermarket). In the heart of the gentle rolling countryside of southern Chalonnais, very close to the first vineyards, in the hollow of the verdant Guye valley (partly protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" & "ZNIEFF" for its rich ecosystems), a peaceful, preserved rural & natural setting, combining bucolic groves, rivers, vineyards & vast wild forests.
