The location is lovely, quiet and secluded- perfect for our group of friends. The home however needs updating and some repairs including the kitchen cabinets, kitchen drawers and outdoor octagonal deck, particularly replacing the deteriorating older boards. The location was great and description was accurate. However, there was a terrible animal smell coming from the basement and permeating the whole house. We had to make a trip to buy candles and air fresheners to cover it. When reported to the owner after our stay (we were only there two nights and mostly just to sleep), he denied any problem and claimed he had a professional come in to check it out. Safe to say we will not be renting this house for next year's race! Renters beware! ##### Casey C. The shore was filled with weeds and dead fish had washed up. There was a major storm the week before. It was not good for small children, I had ages, 3, 4, 5, and nine. We ended up spending every day at Sampson State Park just down the road. It ended up being a blessing, the children loved it there. Seneca State Park is also very nice and this location is in the middle of the 2 state parks. Many great breweries are only a few miles away. The house is also located for the best sunsets every night. We used the firepit every night. The house was spotless and comfortable. The deck looks beautiful in the photo but is actually in need of replacement. If I ever rented again, I would bring some pots and pans, paper plates, extra toilet paper, washing machine detergent, and dishwasher detergent, we ran out quickly. ##### Constance M.
