"Cabin was very clean and view was beautiful. Bathroom was pretty clean too, bring toilet paper. Only down side was that this is not a cabin by its self - there are two cabins and multiple other structures not pictured. The other cabin was also rented with a couple and a dog and was fairly close to ours. We didn’t have issue though and this still felt very private overall! But I would prepare to not be alone if you stay. "

"Host provided good directions and check in instructions. We had a very nice stay. The cabin was clean, quiet and We felt very safe. We needed help with operating the room heater and the host was very responsive and thoroughly explained how to use it. Our host was very friendly. There was an electronic bug zapper inside the cabin which came in handy. Rental location was very convenient to Denali National Park. It was only a 15 to 20 minute drive to the Denali visitor center. "This used to be a hotel owned by the park historically and is on the edge of the park boundary. Still a good 10-15 mins drive from the entrance. Excellent views and very clean, functional rooms. Staff and housecleaning is very helpful too. Can't go wrong with this one."

"Great views but on a high cliff which means relying on buses and additional transportation costs in the Denali park area. It was clean but we did get a room which had an elevator next to it and lots of sound from the clothes washing room too. In terms of baggage transfer from the railroad depot to the hotel, we experienced some mishaps with our luggage too and had to complain about missing-materials / torn bags. The Lodge pointed fingers at the Alaska Railroad while the train depot claimed that usually it’s the hotel staff that transfer the luggage in a rough manner. So not entirely a pleasant experience but the views were amazing ofcourse. Can’t complain about Denali!"

"I have stayed at the Princess Lodge in Talkeetna and loved it, so I had high hopes for the Denali Lodge, but my review is a little mixed. The rooms are certainly outdated, but still comfortable and functional. I love how close the lodge is to other restaurants, but they do have more dining and shop options onsite, and the view at the back overlooking the Nenana River is gorgeous. What’s causing me to give it 4 to 5 stars the most is the staff. We tried to check-in 15 minutes early and were very rudely shut down. I understand that a lot of hotels stick to their check-in time, but this was simply 15 minutes early. When checking in then let me know that I would be in a king room, and this was an issue due to me traveling with my brother. I had let them know that due to me traveling with my brother I would need a room with double beds, and I was told because so many people had already checked in I may not be able to get that accommodation. It’s interesting to me how we weren’t able to check in 15 minutes early, but the person who did help me made the comment that so many people had already checked in for the day. Overall, I do feel like I got a good value for my money, but if I were to be back in the area, I would look at alternate places to stay."
