Let the adventures resume! After the epic flood of 2022, the Park took on the monumental task of rebuilding the entrance road into the Park through Gardiner and it is finally finished. Yellowstone Park's North Entrance is back in business and this home is the perfect home base for your visit. \*Please consider supporting our incredible town following this unexpected season.\* \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Electric Peak Retreat offers a special experience for visitors coming to the Yellowstone area. It is nestled on 3 acres of land with 300 feet of Yellowstone River frontage that provides private river access. It sits just below Electric Peak, an 11,000 foot peak in the north end of Yellowstone Park, the views and surrounding landscape are awe-inspiring. LOCATION: 5 miles from the Roosevelt Arch marking the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Gardiner, MT. It's incredibly convenient to serve as a base camp for all of your explorations of the Park and surrounding area (see updates above about access). You truly feel connected to the beautiful nature around you. There is a great natural hot spring located less than 3 miles from the house as well. The town of Gardiner is working to become members of the Dark Sky Association because of the incredible night skies in the area. They really will take your breath away! Of course, you may have to share the beach with the elk. There are lots of recreational opportunities outside of the Park: miles and miles of hiking trails, whitewater and scenic rafting, horseback riding, e-bike tours, wildlife tours, fishing, shopping, restaurants and food trucks, scenic drives, soaking in Yellowstone Hot Springs, Chico Hot Springs, and local music venues. DESCRIPTION: Nature often puts on a show for our guests. The Yellowstone River is rich with wildlife and activity, especially as the sun is coming up. You can soak it all in from the comfort of the living room or deck as you have your morning coffee. Elk, deer, otters, bald eagles, osprey, coyotes are common guests! The main floor has an open floor plan with a large kitchen that adjoins a roomy dining area and Living Room, ideal for gatherings and games. The deck is accessed off of the kitchen and provides a wonderful spot to sit and watch the sun drop behind Electric Peak as you relax with your family and friends. A gas grill is provided on the deck for creating true summertime outdoor meals. Also on the main level is a wonderful master bedroom (king bed) with an ensuite full bathroom. It’s not often that a bathroom has such incredible views, but this one does! Guests will enjoy the soaking tub as well as the walk-in shower in the master bath. A cozy bonus reading room with a single twin bed sits just outside the master bedroom. This would work well for a small child who wants to sleep nearby. A half bath is available off of the great room. The lower level is all about a casual and relaxed vibe. It is a walkout onto the yard. There are 3 bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a full bath with a shower/tub combo. A great family room with large screen TV and comfy couches is downstairs as well. Laundry with washer and dryer. The home sleeps 9 comfortably if you include the bonus room’s twin bed. All of the mattresses and linens are high quality since getting good sleep can make all the difference on vacation. There are 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you will need to make most meals. NOTE: This home is incredibly special to me because it served as a home for my family of 3 boys up until now. I have managed rentals in the area for other owners and have received only 5 star reviews for my service. Now it is time to offer my own home and I hope that it provides a wonderful place to relax and share time with family and friends while inspiring you to get out and explore the incredible area of Yellowstone. Downstairs was a little cold, but it’s Montana in February! Warmed up nicely once we could get a fire going. Fun to watch the coyotes and elk across the river every morning. There are many amenities like a couple of nice coolers for packing lunches, very well stocked kitchen, and a great backyard view (saw about 25 elk in the backyard on one evening). The WiFi was better than I expected (not perfect but not a deal breaker). I highly recommend this house if you’re coming to Yellowstone vacation. ##### Melinda S. She checked in to make sure we got in with no problems and checked in part way through the week. The house is beautiful. It was great for our family of 7\. Especially our kids (ages 8,6,4,2,1) the backyard is fenced in and there was plenty of space to spread out and enjoy being there. Only a few minutes to Yellowstone or just to go to town. We saw wildlife every day we were there with two days the elk staying in the backyard. Incredible place to stay. Can’t wait to come back. ##### Kim B. We were a larger family group (grandparents, adults and young children) and we felt very comfortable in the home. Plenty of space, clean and comfortable and the views are even more beautiful than the pictures can show. We spent a ton of time on the porch watching the river and Mountain views. Very close to north entrance of Yellowstone and just a few minutes to a small, but well-stocked grocery store down the street. We grilled and cooked our meals in the home. Fenced in yard was great for littles and lots of thoughtful details in the home for kids (pack’n play, books, cute stuffed animals and etc.). The host was always very responsive and we had no issues at all with the home. I would stay here again and recommend Sandy’s place to everyone! ##### Andrea R. This home was everything we could have asked for AND more! The location was very convenient for our daily trips into YNP. The home was spacious, clean and offered many extras for our stay. The beds and linens were comfy, each room had ample space for our belongings for the week, board games for down time, a large dining table, stocked kitchen and our favorite feature …. a short path down to the Yellowstone River for swimming, fishing and relaxing on the beach. Immaculate views of Electric Peak, surrounding mountains and lots of wildlife - bald eagle and elk sightings daily made the trip extra special. It was an easy to drive to the park, dining options, rafting and the Yellowstone Hot Springs. I could not recommend this home more. Sandy has put a lot of extra special touches into this home. Do not pass up this gem on the Yellowstone. ##### Amanda M. BEST VRBO EXPERIENCE EVER. The pictures do not do it justice. This little slice of heaven has it all: location, comfort + luxury, helpful and responsive hosts, and every amenity you can ask for. I am ready to move in and take up residence :) This home has a well-provisioned kitchen, and we enjoyed making meals gathered around the island. The bedrooms are comfortable. The living room is perfectly appointed and conducive to hanging out and reliving the day's adventures around the wood-burning fire. Not to mention the fabulous views and waking up to the sight of wildlife strolling along the river. I cannot wait to come back!!! ##### Kasey M. The pictures online did not do this property justice. The views of the mountains and the Yellowstone river will take your breath away. The serene walk down the path to the private beach on the Yellowstone River was a nice surprise! The Highway was a little bit distracting at night if you want to look at the stars, but it was not a dealbreaker by any means. The communication with the owner was top notch. The check in process were super easy. Loved the layout of the house. House was stocked with accessories to aid in convenient cooking (Insta pot, crockpot, grill, awesome I’ll coffee maker). The Grizzly Grill food trailer across the street was a nice visit. The Flying Pig rafting tours and Yellowstone national park north gate entrance were just down the road. We would definitely visit is home again and would highly recommend it to others! ##### Rebecca B. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere. The home is so comfortable and well appointed, everything we needed and more! Very private, yet close to everything you need. Conveniently located just a short drive to Gardiner and the north entrance to Yellowstone, perfect for all the stops we wanted to make in the park. Sandy had great recommendations for local excursions, many of which we did and they all exceeded our expectations! Our family visited in mid-June, which was just right for our kid’s first whitewater rafting trip with Flying Pig Adventures right down the road. They did an amazing job! Also, wildlife viewing in the park was incredible during our tour with Yellowstone Wild. At the house, we saw elk every day! She has a great spotting scope set up too. We watched bald eagles, fox, deer, and geese right from the living room. Sandy was available and easy to communicate with, an amazing host! When we return to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Sandy and stay at her little slice of heaven! ##### Gerri B.
