Very clean and tidy. Staff were lovely. Food was very good and good variety. The only thing that was a little misleading is the free trips. It mentioned that for all inclusive guests there is a free island hopping boat tour And snorkelling tour. For the island hopping technically this is true, it’s is free, but it only runs twice a week on the two days that has flights coming in and out of the airport. Because of this unless you are staying for more than one week you can’t go on it because it is only run on the day you arrive and the day you leave. And you cannot go on another trip in exchange. The free snorkelling tour is unguided and therefore only recommended for experienced snorkelers. And you have to hire snorkelling gear at a cost. Which overall didn’t end up making that much difference to our stay - but to advertise two free boat tours included for all inclusive gusts just feels a bit dishonest when we found we couldn’t actually go on either of them.

Paradise on a low cost budget
Before I begin...if you are the type of person that picks holes at every opportunity, then it’s not for you. The room is basic....1 small wardrobe with half a dozen plastic coat hangers and nowhere to place folded items, but you improvise. Leave them in your case. The bed is large and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom is spacious and the shower has plenty of hot water. The air conditioning is good and it is left on day and night. The food is excellent. We are both Vegetarians, but the meat dishes looked tasty and they had a variety of different choices daily. We absolutely loved the soups. The beach is small, but very safe and ideal for snorkelling. There’s no shortage of sun loungers and you can safely leave your towels, books etc unattended whilst you go for lunch. The pool is large and kept very clean. Most of the pool is kept to a depth of 1.4 metres, but at one end it is closer to 2 metres. With the all inclusive package you can more or less get a drink from 9am until midnight. The daily snorkelling trips and the once weekly island hopping trip is all part of the package. This place is popular with Eastern Europeans as they know a bargain when they see one. Many told me they have been coming every year for the past 10 years. We are going to go for two weeks every year from now on. This is not 5 star luxury. There are plenty of those to choose from in the Maldives if you don’t mind paying £500 pounds a night.

Peaceful little island
Its a nice peaceful stay for us, the all inclusive package definitely worth the shot. There's not the typical Maldives expensive resort you seen on TV, but everything is there for and adequate with friendly staff and service with smile. Gan island is a quiet easy island to spent a few days, enjoy the hospitality from little island just south of equator.

I have stayed before on two occasions, some refurbishment has been carried out since the new management took over a year ago. To the good the pool area looks great and has had new tiles and a lick of paint . The lack and condition of the steps to get out of the pool needs addressing . Also the bar service is somewhat slow but then we are on holiday. All in all a lovely place to see the real Maldives

Firstly, let me say that this is (or was) my favourite hotel in the Maldives and that the ordinary staff, cleaners, barmen, waiters gardener etc. are extremely hardworking and courteous. However the hotel is suffering from sever mismanagement from the top. The beautiful old pool bar has been vandalised to the point of destruction leaving it unsafe and unusable in poor weather. the wooden steps to the beach are rotted to the point of one of the steps breaking under a 70 year old female guest leaving her badly shaken and bruised but miraculously not seriously . The beautiful gardens are a shadow of their former self, looking overgrown and neglected, we even had to tie back the undergrowth to gain access to our room!! If you are a non-smoker, be aware that smoking is rife in the bars (including the swim-up pool bar

Good transit hotel for Gan Airport
The hotel is a good transit hotel if you have an early morning flight to catch from Gan Airport after having spent your other days in other resorts. Otherwise it is a very basic 3-star hotel with only one restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are at US$18.50 per person.

Brilliant Value
If you like to snorkel choose the all inclusive deal which includes one free boat trip per day. Make sure you get to Mulikeda, Banana Reef and Bushy Island as they were the highlights for us. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile, just don't expect luxury, however the room was adequate and the a/c worked a treat. The food was fine with plenty of options including a good salad bar. If you're feeling peckish in the afternoon, savoury and sweet treats with tea/coffee are available from 16:00. Equator Village is brilliant value for money and would definitely recommend a stay. I'm already planning another trip for next year, 'nough said!

Rooms were basic as shown in photos but clean and had everything that you need. Plenty of sun beds either by the pool or the beach. Breakfast was the same every day but a very varied menu for lunch and dinner. Meals were really tasty with lots of flavour. It was good to have so much choice of vegetables. Staff always pleasant and helpful. We went out on the snorkel boat to different locations most days and saw an abundance of fish including sharks, eagle rays and turtles. The snorkelling was also good off the beach. It was a great holiday.

Good relaxing stay
The staff were friendly and we recieved a very nice greeting from the general manager on our arrival. The location is good - the beach front rooms are quiet and there is a good coral garden just off the beach - we saw turtles, octopus and a small reef shark right there. The hotel room was comfortable - we were a bit apprehensive when booking but the rooms turned out to be fine. Well maintained, clean and spacious. Not luxurious but good. We managed to hire a scooter from outsude the hotel and used that to visit other parts of the atoll - the nature reserve in the far north is quite worth a visit for its coral too. The breakfast and other meals were fine; again not luxurious but good. There were vegetarian friendly options too. Given the location it was possible to visit local restaurants too.

Great holiday thanks to Equator Village.
Great room located beachside and the all inclusive package makes it all so easy...no more to pay. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We loved the snorkeling and island hopping trip and the location on Gan Island is great to cycle around and meet the locals.

Gate staff at hotel entry were terrible. Since I was a local they always stopped me and called reception to verify if I was a guest every time I tried to re enter. Did not see this happen to foreigners.

An unforgettable holiday in a unique place
We visited Equator Village, on the island of Gan, to celebrate our Coral Wedding Anniversary. We couldn't have chosen a more spectacular place to see and explore the natural environment of the coral reef and to be able to get out into the local community, cycling into the small villages, meeting the people and seeing the unspoilt Addu Atoll.The history of the RAF station here during the world war 2 was an added extra interest.

Stay at Equator Village.
Over all a nice stay.The water sports and other activities are the cheapest here as compared to other resorts.Best is the Dolphin Cruise And it should be must on the list of guest staying in this resort. The only thing to be improved is service time as the guest staying at Equator Village should not expect there needs attended immediately by the staff.

Nice Location AWESOME STAFF Must Visit
Amazing stay. All staff great !!! Open to all communication before and after check in.Except Room cleaning staff needs pushing Snorkelling at house reef reasonably gud. Snorkelling trips by boat wonderful. Food is delicious with gud variety.Room comfort very gud but the bed slides and mattress is soft springy.Bicycles for free is the best part. Go around the neighbouring islands is terrific.

The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful with nothing too much for them. The were two things that we were not 100% happy about, one was that the poolbar was not in use and it looked liked it had not been used for some time, the other was the boat trip and BBQ that consisted of a pack lunch containing one piece of grilled chicken, sandwiches and fruit......The hotel requires a little touch up in places, but I understand that that is work in progress. Besides these minor issues the stay was very relaxing and in a good location, and at times it seemed like we had the beach to ourselves..... The free bikes were great, allowing us to island hop with ease. Collection and drop off to and from the airport was very efficient. We are already planning to stay there again next year; the location and value was excellent. Thank you.

Da dove cominciamo...forse dai topi in cucina e nella sala da pranzo ? Oppure dagli scarrafoni grossi come una mano nelle camere ? Poi, senza offesa per nessuno, ma il rabbino che alle 05.00 del mattino fa la preghiera con lo speaker al massimo ? Ci sono 10 galline che girano per la struttura libere, probabilmente per evitare altri animali. I topini la sera corrono sul tetto tutto il giorno. Pulizia delle camere scarsa. Di 4 persone 3 sono tornate con un’intossicazione alimentare. Albergo adatto a tedeschi e inglesi con standard bassi. Pessimo

Hyggeligt middelmådigt hotel-Hvad man betaler for
Det er et hyggeligt middelmådigt hotel med meget hjælpsomt personale, hvor man får, hvad man betaler for. Der er en dejlig strand ved noget af hotellet, og ved resten af hotellet ( i området ved poolen og baren) er der en betonmur, der holder vandet tilbage fra at æde af øen, da der af og til kan være kraftige bølger. Flotte korraller og fisk man kan se ved snorkling. Hotellet har en stor pool, desværre var vi så uheldige, at vi først to dage før ankomsten blev gjort opmærksomme på at poolen var lukket under hele vores ophold, da de var ved at renovere den. Dog blev vi tilbudt at få pengene retur, hvilket vi afslog, og så fik vi i stedet en betalt udflugt. Værelserne er ikke noget specielt, men der er, hvad man har brug for. Dog er det lidt omsonst med tv på værelset, når der kun er en kinesisk nyhedskanal og en musikkanal. Husk myggespray, for der er MANGE af slagsen. Men alt i alt et dejligt ophold vi havde der i 11 dage.

Liebevolle und tolle Unterkunft, einfach super!
Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Atmosphäre im Hotel sehr herzlich. Essen sehr gut und immer frisch. Es gibt immer verschiedene Fisch und Fleischgerichte, welche stets frisch gegrillt auf den Teller oder aus einem umfangreichen Angebot des Buffet bereitstehen. Einheimische Gerichte werden auch angeboten welche besonders schmackhaft sind. Ganztäglich wird frisches Obst angeboten. Im AI 2x täglich schnorschelausflüge zu verschiedenen Korallenriffen. Super. Hier kommt keine Langeweile auf. Zudem bietet das hauseigene Riff jede Menge zu entdecken. ( Adlerrochen, stachelrochen, Schildkröten, Muränen, Haie, und alle typischen Maledivischen Fische. Wer hier aktiv ist bekommt jede Menge geboten. Außerdem gibt es einen riesigen schönen Pool, den wir nicht nutzten aber auch gerne von anderen in Andpruch genommen wurde. Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und liebevoll hergerichtet. Ausreichend Liegen vorhanden und Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Anlage gepflegt mit viel Pflanzen und Blumen. Kommen auf jedenfall wieder. Für schnorschler bestens zu empfehlen. Daumen hoch. Danke für die wundervolle Zeit

Fint hotell med fin pool o strand.
Jag och min man trivdes bra på detta hotel. Superfin pool och supertrevlig personal. Min man snorklade och så många fina fiskar. Tyvärr så var havet inte så klart o blått som man önskade. Och det var inte någon direkt sandstrand. Och vädret var tyvärr inte det bästa under våra 4 nätter vi bodde där o då vi bara hade 3 heldagar stt njuta av där.

Dans l'ensemble...
Dans l'ensemble c'était bien mais sans plus. La plage est joli mais très petites. Le gros inconvénient est que l'île est très loin de l'aéroport de Malé. J'ai passé un bon séjour mais je ne le recommanderai pas à un ami.

Nice hotel with very friendly and polite staff
Very service minded and polite staff. I spent my birthday at this hotel, and they went above and beyond to make it speciel. Our room was big and nice tempered by the A/C, bathroom also good size, and only thing to out a finger on was a small problem with ants, also no ventilation in there which made it very damp very quick. Poolarea and really the whole area surrounding the hotel was very comfortable and cozy. Also very clean. We booked our stay with all inclusive, which also had some nice extra offers, like snorkeling trips and others. But it was limited in the bar to only a few drinks. Beer, soda, water and wine was of course included. Snacks between meals were however not, which was a bit disappointing. Overall a very friendly and comfortable place, which I would have no problem recommending.

Super great resort
Super friendly and sincere resort manager/hotel staff/chef/bartender who always try their best to offer tailor-made and professional service to customers. The price of excursions are totally value for money, the hotel even operated sunset fishing tour at normal price for only 2 of us. We bought the all inclusive package and buffet food is great, especially love the variety and taste of the soup. Will highly recommend this resort ^____^

Kävimme Equator Villagessa heinäkuun alussa kolme yötä. Hotellissa oli todella vähän turisteja, koska ei ollut high-season. Tämän vuoksi saimme majoituksen meren rannalta. Huoneiden ja koko hotellin sisustus oli todella kiva. Alussa meille väitettiin monta kertaa vastaan, ettei meillä ollut ALL INCLUSIVE, vaikka sen olimme etukäteen maksaneet. Varausten tarkastusten jälkeen asia kuitenkin selvisi. Puutarha-alue, joka ympäröi majoitusaluetta tuoksui hyvälle. Puutarha-alueella juoksenteli vapaana kissoja, kanoja ja tipuja. Uima-allas aluetta käytti vain muutama turisti joten turhaa hälinää ei sen osalta ollut. Uima-altaan vieressä on uusi kuntosali, jossa laadukkaat treenilaitteet. Hotellilta on mahdollisuus vuokrata polkupyörät ja käydä tutustumassa lähialueisiin. Valitettavasti lähialueiden rannat (yleiset "uimarannat") olivat todella siivottomassa kunnossa. Paikalliset heittävät surutta roskansa teiden reunoille ja ranta-alueille. Hotelli järjestää paljon aktiviteetteja. Viikon kalenterista voi valita mm. saari hyppely, kalastus (aamulla ja illalla), snorklaus ja delfiinien katseluretki. Mikäli varaat ALL INCLUSIVE, niin sinulle kuuluu ilmaiseksi snorklausretket (ei varusteet) ja saari hyppely. Mikäli tuot omat räpylät ja maskin, niin voit käydä joka päivä snorklaamassa ilmaiseksi. Niihin mennään veneellä noin 20min ja paikalla ollaan noin tunti. Henkilökunta oli miellyttävä ja he järjestivät asiat kuntoon. Erityiskiitokset ravintolan ja keittiön väelle!

Tilaus Beach front asunnosta ei toteutunut, vaan olimme puutarhan perällä. Toivon hyvitystä tästä, koska maksoimme kalliimmasta. Huoneen siivous keskeneräinen tullessamme: sain pyytää kahvikuppeja ja laseja kahdelle ihmiselle, samoin täyttämään kahvi/kerma -tarvikkeet. Kylpyhuoneeseen saimme vasta kolmantena päivänä käsi- ja kasvopyyhkeet. Varaus kuitenkin tehty hyvissä ajoin syksyllä 2016.

Angenehmes, bodenständiges Ressort
Wir waren 12 Nächte mit drei erwachsenen Jungs dort. Es ist eine kleine, freundliche, gepflegte Anlage. Schöner Pool. Viele Möglichkeiten (Schnorcheln (2x am Tag mit dem Boot zu unterschiedlichen Plätzen), Tennis, Beachvolleyball, Fahrradfahren, ...). Auch eine Tauchschule ist neben an. Die Anlage ist einwandfrei, aber kein top-end Luxus. Also bodenständig. Preis/Leistung ist sehr gut.

Una Ottima esperienza maldiviana con i maldiviani
La gentilezza e la disponibilità insieme alla meravigliosa natura della maldive fanno di questa vacanza una esperienza indimenticabile. Tuutto ciò che serve per rendere serena e piacevole la vacanza viene fornito in modo semplice e sereno. Non ci sono nessuna sorpresa spiacevole e ci si trova tra amici. La dimensione dell'isola e del villaggio vicino al resort permettono di non annoiarsi, passando dalla pesca alllo snorkeling fino ai giri in bicicletta per l'isola tra le abitazionie negozi locali. massima serenità e disponibilità di tutti, ti fanno sentire tra amici. Anche gli animali sono affettuosi e amichevoli, (gatti e galline con prole). Ti senti ospite gradito a casa loro non un turista in una struttura artificiale.

Snorkelling/ diving paradise
If you want to see the "reall" Maldives, go here. It's not like the post card but you experience the local people and the real Maldives. It's one of the best places if you want to experience the marine life.
