Befs and food excellent,as was room size But being subjected at about 7,15 am for the following 15 minutes to the intermittent movement of what sounded like a locomotive (presumably a housekeeping trolley) along the corridor of the floor above was vwey annoyong. There were blood dtains on one sey of bed linen. No biscuits and only 2 milk cartons for the tea tray in room.
Only thing was I was given wrong direction for room so unsure if I even got the right room because she was adamant I had to go straight and left but after 3 trips, checking w her, going back and forth up and down stairs with luggage, I realized myself the room was behind desk in older area not where directed. That was frustrating. Otherwise lovely place and excellent food friendly service

Beautiful property, excellent staff, far exceeded my expectations from what I saw on the web page.
Nice looking property and not too far from Galway city, but not enough parking at this Hotel. We had to park in the overflow and this caused difficulty as my wife is disabled. The only disabled parking space we could find was taken up with an non permit holder. Also our room was really cold as the heating was not regulated to keep the temperature balanced. Sorry disappointing experience.
This hotel is beautiful. We needed a safe place to stay for our one night exploring Galway and this worked great. It can be a little daunting taking in its size but overall comfortable stay. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful.
Check-in was quick. Was a little hard to find the room sonce it wasn't listed on the walls. The regular room numbers were with the arrows to point the way. These ones weren't. Food was good in the bar, they took their time serving. Bed was soft and nice to sleep in. I did enjoy being able to adjust the room temperature so I was able to have a good nights sleep.
The room was spacious and well cared for. The hotel was charming. Bathroom sink was a bit hard to turn off and had separate taps for hot and cold water. Overall a nice place to stay.
Wonderful place to stay, quiet with good restaurant and bar and a great gym. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Be careful if using GPS to find, as it takes you into a housing estate, the entrance to the hotel is on the main road into Oranmore, not through the estate.

Not a four star
Ironing board not for for use. Broke my back it was so low and I’m not a tall person . Also not present in room. I had to request it. No bottled water so only alternative to take medication etc is to use bathroom sink water. When I raised this when leaving I was told it was post covid . Not a four star reply or solution. Not a business hotel.
This hotel was great! Our twin room was spacious and very clean. Facilities were excellent and our meal was delicious and well priced.
We would highly recommend staying here.
The hotel was beautiful from the outside and the spa staff were wonderful. The problem was in the room. The room had a bath mat with black mold on the bottom. The room and hotel had a very musty smell. We left our window open to try to air out the room. The antiseptic smell of the cleaning solutions made my daughter sick, so we did not have our room cleaned during our visit to try to air it out. If I had not already prepaid for our stay we would have changed hotels. In hindsight I wish I had taken a picture of the black mold on the bath mat but I didn't.
Several weeks ago I booked a room for my daughter and asked to have a non smoking room. When we got to the hotel, there was no place to park near the lobby due to several a tour buses. We were given the key to our room on the second floor. When we returned later to bring up our bags, there was no one at the front desk and we were frustrated to fin that there was no elevator. when we got to our room we opened the door to be knocked away by the smell of cigarette smoke in the room. I double-checked the door to see if it was a smoking room and saw that the small plaque on the door was halfway falling off the door that said it was ‘non-smoking’. Since this was their only remaining room we had to have the windows open all night and was woken several times by a dog that was barking incessantly.
We arrived weary from a day of traveling and found this hotel to be lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, patient and kind. The landscaping around the hotel is very pretty and helps create a sense of peace.
Dinner and bar service was good. The hotel is very old and in need of some updating. Room was small dated and very warm. Breakfast was terrible, toast was rubbery and very poor selection. Leisure facilities were excellent. Hard to believe this is a 4 * hotel, its more like a bad 3.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Furnishings either old and worn or replaced with cheap furniture. Place was clean. Room freshly painted. Bar and food offerings very limited. Towels old. Staff friendly enough.
