Adjacent to UTMB Medical Complex and only minutes from The Strand Historic District, it’s a convenient and cozy base for short or extended stays. The Space: Our property features 21 cozy short-term rental units, all located within a two-hallway building that combines the convenience of a hotel with the comfort of home. Each unit comfortably sleeps two guests in a queen-size bed and includes a wall-mounted smart TV with streaming capabilities, a full-size kitchenette equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster, refrigerator/freezer, full-size microwave, dishes, glasses, coffee cups, and basic supplies. You’ll also find an iron and ironing board, a collapsible clothing rack for rooms without closets, a round table with seating for two, a nightstand with a lamp, and an individually controlled air and heating system for your comfort. The bathroom is full-sized and includes a tub, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, bath towels, and beach towels. This listing is for Room #1 - Surf Trip Studio Apartment, featuring its own private full bathroom. Seasonal rates apply. If you’re booking for a group event—such as a birthday, engagement party, wedding, or corporate getaway—ask us about reserving multiple rooms together. With 21 units in the building, The Botanical is well-suited to host larger groups while still providing each guest with their own space. Guest Access: We do not issue keys or provide access codes in advance. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Guests will receive an access code for the keypad entry into the building and their own unique code for their room upon arrival. We want to ensure all guests are familiar with our lock system and feel comfortable settling into the building. If you plan to arrive after 10:00 PM, please message us ahead of time with your estimated arrival — if we are not notified and any issues occur after 10:00 PM, we may not be able to assist until the following morning. Smoking is not permitted (this includes indoors and common areas). Events and parties are not permitted at this property. Wi-Fi access information is included in the in-room instructions. The Neighborhood: The Botanical is in a quiet, walkable part of Galveston, just five blocks from the Seawall. You’ll be close to the beach, great local restaurants, and island attractions. UTMB is right next door, and The Strand Historic District is only a few minutes away—perfect for exploring, working, or just relaxing. I had a feeling from the pictures that it was going to be a nice place but both my girlfriend and I were truly blown away. First off, Angie was super warm and welcoming when we arrived. Speaking of which, Mike, the manager allowed us to check in early which was really nice too. The room was small but that’s what I expected. It had a nice sized fridge, Keurig, and microwave. It also had other appliances like a toaster and blender which I didn’t notice until I was leaving. There was also a nice sized sink to wash the plates and silverware they included. The only suggestion is to maybe include a hot plate and pots/pans. I never used the appliances but they looked brand new. The bathroom was nice and clean. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were nice-sized. There was also a washer/dryer that was accessible in the complex as well. They included two washer pods. The lock system to the entrance and room felt very safe too. The TV was a great size and included cable and apps to some streaming services, that you’d have to use your own personal accounts. There was also a nice signal for the WiFi. The main thing I was concerned about was the street parking, but it was very easy to find spots. Lastly I loved how the complex was so close to so many things either by car or even walking. This is my new go-to place when I go to Galveston.
