Pictures honestly do not do this place justice. So beautiful and a great location. Condo included everything we needed, beds were comfortable and the pool was great. One of the absolute most beautiful places I’ve stayed at. Conveniently located right across from Stewart Beach we had an amazing view and only a short walk to the beach. The beds were comfortable, everything was immaculately clean and tidy. The building was in good condition and the staff very friendly, checking in and out was a breeze. It was easy to use the game room and the pool was never crowded. We used the kitchen to cook several meals and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. Washer and dryer were also easy to use and clean. This is the first time we have stayed at Emerald by the sea. It was a great facility. The guest service was top notch! My kids had a blast in the heated pool and hot tub! The lady working the desk gave us some great recommendations for dinner too. The condo was nice, but not very kid friendly. The last night there, went to load the dishwasher as asked, but it was still full of dishes from the stay before us. If you’re a late sleeper I don’t recommend it. There’s a LOT of light from all the windows, even with the shades down. The “furniture” in the living room and dining room is patio furniture so it wasn’t very comfortable to hang out and watch tv or eat. I would definitely stay at the same facility again, but not the same condo. It was very clean and tidy, but not very family oriented and we always go as a family. ##### Jennifer H. You will have plenty of room for 4 or 5 except they only have 4 chairs at the table and no stools at the bar—3 pool towels—. Why advertise as 5? Pros: great location, nice building amenities and helpful staff in building. In fact everyone from the building was very nice and welcoming ! Well decorated but no chairs on the main balcony so I guess you take the table chairs outside? Cons: towels were very rough and some washcloths were so spotted I wondered if we got the rags? When we stripped the beds as requested the mattress cover on one of the twin beds was very stained. We also did not have the control for the fan/light in the 2nd bedroom. You could not leave the fan running without the light being on at night and it was very warm at night in there. The main bedroom had unfinished electrical work in the closer and what appeared to be dirty linens and towels in the closet. There were building supplies and empty boxes in both closets but no hangers or hooks anywhere except the bathrooms. We had to throw the coats etc on the table in the hallway. Bring your own shampoo and shower gel too! If they fix the above it will be a very nice rental which we would use again but not deal with Vacasa as they did not answer the couple of emails we sent them asking for hangers and the missing fan control. ##### Beth S. The Condo was spacious and clean, looked exactly as it is in the photos. The views from all the windows are amazing! Vacasa was easy to work with, however the Emerald Isle building management does have a lengthy list of rules you will have to sign off on when you rent, in addition to the ones Vacasa has you sign for, so it's a bit redundant. (150.00 cash if you lose any of the keys etc) Some things worth noting: the condo does have light filtering blinds(not room darkening), and in the master bedroom the blinds don't go all the way to the top of the window, you will get some light in at night, so if you are a person that needs a completely dark room, this might be an issue for you. There is a empty strip mall next door, that has a decent amount of homeless people living outside, they never bothered us, and the condo building is VERY secure and locked down, so we felt safe. The Gym is for use on weekends ONLY, this was a major negative for me. Overall I would recommend this unit, but probably would only stay on a weekend due the restrictions on Gym usage by non-resident/renters. ##### christopher p. Overall the condo was wonderful. Great view, and super clean. It was perfect for the four of us. We were able to cook out a steak dinner on the grill by the pool which was nice and sitting on the balcony was great listening to the waves. The only issue that we encountered was maintenance letting themselves in to change the filters. We were not made aware that they would be coming. My daughters and I went out for a few hours and my husband stayed back to catch up on some sleep. He was startled out of his sleep by people coming in, keys jingling, and noise. When we got back, my husband was extremely upset and the day did not go as planned.
