As with most Relais & Chateau properties, Hotel Orfila scored excellent by all measures. The hotel, lobby, restaurant, terrace, salons, all stunning with opulent amenities, as was the room, consisting of entry, huge bathroom, bedroom and living area. The breakfast included was most excellent, with every imaginable offering while, if anything was lacking, the friendly, efficient servers would produce it promptly. The outdoor patio and terrace was incredibly lovely with its beautiful landscaping and perfect dining venue. Reception staff were most helpful and professional. When a medical occurrence required attention, reception staff called on an excellent physician who arrived in about an hour, providing an exceptional consultation.

"We were flying from Israel to the USA and had a lay over in Madrid for 13.5 hours. I reserved our room and it was perfect! Walkable, located at the airport, we had a hot shower and nice bed.
