Family Gathering
Our Family had a wonderful time at the Hampton Hill home !! It was a very relaxing setting that made our family feel comfortable and a home away from home. The weather was great and allowed for fishing and hanging out outside in the covered porches. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful views and spending time together.

Family Gathering
Despite some rainy weather, our time at Hampton Hill was peaceful and relaxing. There’s plenty of covered porches to visit on while watching the rain, a pool table set up in the garage, that allowed gatherings of family and ample room in the dining room to play games or puzzle. When the weather cleared, we were out in the water in a very nice Cove with very little boat traffic.

Friend Weekend
10 girlfriends and I stayed at this property for a weekend get together. The property was exactly as depicted and very spacious. My only other real feedback would be that the kitchen was sparsely furnished for entertaining. We had plenty of dishes and glasses, but there were absolutely no serving platters. Second, we also didn't have enough trash bags for such a large group. Why would there just be a couple of trash bags under the sink and lot a large box? Finally, the iron in the laundry was old and unuseable. Small issues, but a few details would have made everything perfect.

Great Family Reunion location
We stayed here with my entire family (4 siblings, spouses, my parents and all 18 grandkids). The property was gorgeous and the dock was a favorite hang out for all the kids. We brought kayaks and spent everyday on the water. The property was great for playing football and volleyball together. We enjoyed using the pool table, and the large dining room table was a great spot for meals, board games and even flower arranging in prep for my wedding. We originally planned to have our wedding ceremony on site but they wanted to charge more than we thought was necessary (we only had a few ~9 outside guests coming and they wanted to charge per person in addition to the event fee) so we opted to rent a perfect indoor space at the park that is just down the street for half the price and it worked out that it was indoors with the hot muggy June weather.) The kitchen is nice and big which was helpful for preparing and serving meals. It was nice to have a separate area in the basement for the kids to watch a movie while we played card games upstairs. The two washer and dryers on site were very helpful as well. There was plenty of private space upstairs for those that needed to work that week. The one thing that wasn’t clear in the listing was that one of the beds is actually in the closet of the Master Suite. We had planned on an adult staying in that bed but it was too awkward for him so he opted for the pullout couch in the guest house which was not comfortable, eventually he just chose to sleep on the couch. We only had two concerns during our stay: 1 - the front step had a large piece which was broken. 2- there were many ants in the guest house above the garage. I contacted the management company, they were very responsive they came and sprayed for the ants immediately plus fixed the step. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous property and would highly recommend it.

Stunning Property

Great family reunion venue!
Everyone enjoyed our stay at Hampton Hill. There were quiet spaces for the babies to nap, and a basement hang out for the teenagers, a big kitchen we prepared all our meals in, and a beautiful quiet lake cove for swimming and relaxing on the dock. All the sheets, towels, & household supplies were provided for us, all we had to do was go grocery shopping to enjoy a private getaway for the whole family.

Perfect relaxing wedding weekend
We had family from Sweden, Portugal, Minnesota, New Jersey and Seattle all staying under one roof. What a fantastic time we had. The outdoor areas were breathtaking and the perfect spot to hang out in the mornings and evenings. Having the rehearsal dinner here on location was the icing on the cake.

Had an amazing weekend at this property. Had family and friends from out of town stay for a graduation party and it was great to have everyone under one roof. There was plenty of space/rooms/beds for all of our guests (About 20 overnight). Highly recommend and host was great!

The main house was adequately clean. The guest house was dirty, moldy and smelled bad. The lower oven in the main house kitchen did not work. We do a lot of cooking and really needed it. The location, acreage and dock were great.

Perfect family reunion
My family of 25 really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and then meet up all together. Two families stayed in the small cottage near the main road. This is where dogs are allowed. The cottage was a 2 minute drive (or a 10 minute walk) to the main house which made for nice evening walks. Two families stayed on the main level of the main house, two families in the two upstairs bedrooms, two families in the bedrooms over the garage, and the young adults bunked in the basement. The walk to the dock was down a hill which was difficult for our older parents. The River Fork Campground which was 5 minutes down the road proved to be very useful for two reasons. 1. We brought a small fishing boat and put it in at the boat ramp at this campground. 2. There was an accessible dock which made it easy for our parents to load onto the rental pontoon boat (instead of walking downhill to the property's dock). The kitchen had everything we'd need (though we did bring a large crock pot and an Instant Pot). The oven is an unusually small size, but the pans/casserole dishes provided fit into the oven. During meal time, there was plenty of room for everyone to find a place to eat (at the large dinner table, at the kitchen countertop, outside on the patio). We brought a large tube and a paddle board. We used them with pretty much complete privacy at the dock. The property is close enough to a Walmart/Publix so grocery shopping was very convenient. This property really met our needs and allowed us to enjoy family time.

Great venue for a wedding
This is a beautiful house and has plenty of sleeping space for everyone. The grounds are amazing as well. One comment- believe them when they say the guest cottage isn’t that nice. We had planned on staying with our dog in it and have it as our little wedding cabin away from other for the weekend. It smells old and is very antique, but that did warn us so this is not a knock to them at all. We ended up putting our dog at my parents cabin down the road and stayed in the master which was beautiful!

This is a very nice property at the lake. Everybody in our party enjoyed it and is big enough to ride ATV ,bikes and other toys. We rented a boat also and had a lot of fun on the water.

Wonderful Place for Friends and Family
We went with 2 other families for a long weekend before school started back. The accommodations were perfect and we had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The dock was awesome and so was the boat service. Perfect cove for floating and relaxing with the kids. We will definitely be going back soon.

Excellent location for our daughter's wedding
This property provided the perfect backdrop for our daughters wedding. Even the rain 15 minutes before the wedding was supposed to start couldn't put a damper on the wedding thanks to this perfect house. Jonathon was a lifesaver volunteering to help move everything once the rain started. Overall the house was everything we hoped for and more. Our grandkids really enjoyed the lake access. There was something for everyone and Christy was a pleasure to work with as well.

Great house for multiple families
We had a great time and this home was very accommodating for large groups. Wonderful location on the lake and not far from grocery stores. Would not recommend for anyone who has difficulty walking down steep steps/walkway. Walk to boat dock very long and steep. Definitely got your exercise and would need some strong lads to carry coolers to boat dock from house. Probably hard for elderly houseguests for sure. The decor is a little dated and dark, but overall this was a perfect place to stay for 3 large families.

Great Retreat Spot
This property is even more beautiful and impressive in person, and the communication beforehand was excellent. I had clarifying questions that were responded to quickly and personably. We stayed here for a weekend with 23 women total. I think we would have been a little crowded with more than that - but it was very comfortable with this many people. We had four stay in the caretaker's house which is more stripped down and a walk up the driveway - but very comfortable and a great spot for any introverts in your group. The space above the garage was also perfect for those who needed a little extra room and for someone who brought her baby. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. If you are staying in cooler weather you may want to bring extra blankets (people were a little chilly at night, but it was the first really cold weekend of the fall). Many people enjoyed walking down to the dock for some quiet time also - it's very peaceful and beautiful. We would definitely stay again!

Great destination for our company retreat!
We loved our stay at the Hampton Hill estate! It was the perfect destination for our company retreat, with plenty of room to work and play – and beds for everyone, which is no small feat. The lake was peaceful and gorgeous, and the sprawling property was ideal for the field day portion of the retreat. We hope to return next summer!

50th Celebration
My friends and I had an amazing stay at this property, it accommodated everyone and the setting was private and peaceful. The only complaint was the main television was very small and we could not get the cable to work in the master bedroom . The television situation did not take away from the cleanliness of the property and well stocked kitchen. I would definitely use this property again.

Great property for a large group
We needed a large property for almost 20 people and this was a perfect location for our entire group with large rooms for socializing, a great deck with amazing views and plenty of beds for everyone. The only thing is we did wish the basement bunk beds were a little bit spread out and not tucked into one corner. Other than that, plenty of towels and necessary accoutrements for a four night stay, plus never an issue with hot water. We will be staying there again.

4 day Cheerleading Retreat
I am the coach of a Varsity cheer squad with 28 cheerleaders, and we stayed at this house and commuted in to a cheer gym in Duluth every day for camp. The size of the house was amazing and fit us well. There were plenty of beds, bathrooms, and overall hang out space, and it never felt crowded. We were able to pull our two 15 passenger vans up to the house without any issues, and the circular driveway was convenient with those vehicles as well. Because the house was so large, the cleaning crew was still there, so we checked in a bit late. They were very apologetic, so it was just a small inconvenience. The kitchen is large, but the refrigerator could use some servicing. It doesn't seem to keep food as cold as it should be. There were additional refrigerators in the basement and in the guest quarters above the garage to use as well. Hand soaps in all bathrooms would be a nice addition. I read in the previous reviews that towels were scarce for large groups, so I had my girls bring their own towels, and that worked out nicely. There is an extra house that groups can use called the "Caretakers House" but it is not close in proximity to the main house and is right off of the main road. We opted not to use it. All-in-all for our needs, the house was excellent. For such a large group, the price was reasonable. The girls had a great time and enjoyed being under one roof together.

Boat House family reunion experience
Our family held what we hope to be the first of many future family reunions. This facility worked out great. I was well laid out both inside and out and afforded a good mix of indoor and outdoor experiences for the whole of the group. We ranged in age from less than one to 68 and there were plenty of places to be together as a group or hide away on your own for some privacy. No inferences from the staff who were very supportive up to and during our stay. Would gladly stay here again.

Beautiful with some drawbacks!
We had a group of 30 ladies who gathered here for a weekend retreat (they advertise it sleeps 40 but that would mean everyone sharing a bed so 30 was pushing it for non-family members). Upon arrival, we were really thrilled to be in such a large space with the beauty of the lake right behind us. And for the most part, it worked for us. However, there were some things, had we known about them in advance, would have possibly deterred us from using the property. The main issue was that in that huge property, there was no room large enough for all of us to gather together comfortably. We were there for a retreat, where the "whole group" met together 5 times. We squeezed into the kitchen/living room but it was really tight and not comfortable in the least. It worked and we had a great time, but it was an unexpected negative (there is room in the garage that could have worked but it had no heating...kind of a rec room, but with little seating). We were also shocked at the condition of the main living room couch...full of tears and worn out. In a property of this caliber, you would expect a decent sofa, and again, much more seating. The kitchen was functional but also, a lot of the provided utensils, cookware, etc. were old and needing replacement..and there were few kitchen towels, too few garbage bags (they tell you they expect you to only use 5 for an entire weekend for 30 people, really?). We were thrilled to have so many beds to spread out the ladies...and most were nice and comfy. However, the towels were very limited and some were in bad shape. Again, we expected to find higher quality and more availability. And the downstairs, which has 8 bunk beds (great bunk beds!) has only one bathroom...so that meant some needed to use bathrooms on another floor. Again, not a huge deal, but noteworthy. We had a great weekend despite the drawbacks. I think this house is gorgeous and in the warm weather, would offer so much to do and even outside seating that would have accommodated us well. It's hard to find homes for this size of a group, and I wouldn't be amiss to use it again (just knowing what we're dealing with helps), but I do think they could do some things to make it an even better experience.
