Easy short walk to dock. Outdoor kitchen & fire pit House, 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 11) Blue Heron Cove is the perfect spot for your lake vacation. Located on a huge cove, this waterfront property has lake views from almost every room. The house comes with a private dock with party deck on a quiet area of the lake in Gainesville. Bring your boat and park your trailer in the spacious driveway. You can also rent a boat from close by marina. The Blue Heron Cove house is well suited for family gatherings, a family reunion, 4 couples or even buddies in town for a fishing tournament or a golf getaway. The property is only a few steps to the dock and lake, and the grassy area gently slopes to the water. The professionally built outdoor kitchen and the fire ring make the outdoor spaces complete and enjoyable in all seasons. The house is convenient to shopping and restaurants in Gainesville. Lake Lanier Islands Resort and water park is about 25 minutes away. There are 4 bedrooms (see below) and 3 full bathrooms and one half bath. There is one bedroom on the main level and the other 3 are upstairs. Two of the 4 bedrooms open to the upstairs deck and have wonderful lake views. You can watch people tube, ski or fish from the house or dock and enjoy the sunset as well. The main living area has large windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen and the eating area can seat 10 people comfortably for dinner. There is seating outside on the patio as well. WI-FI is available. There are two flat screen TV's (satellite service); one on each floor. On the dock, you can sit and enjoy the sun on the upper part of the large party dock or stay below for more shade or fishing. Either location allows for a great view of lake activities. Port Royale is the closest Marina. Balus Creek or Mountain View are the two closest boat ramps. If interested, we have kayaks and paddleboards available for rent. We are a residential location and cannot accommodate a large EVENT. Family gatherings, couples, mature women or men's groups are fine and welcome. If you have more than 10 or 11 people, please inquire about suitability of space. We strive to maintain our home in pristine condition and have found party events are not in keeping with the vision for our vacation rental. We always have a family Thanksgiving in Gainesville and this is the best house we have stayed in. The double ovens are great for Thanksgiving cooking needs, the half bath in the laundry room comes in handy too, and the big dining table was perfect for our family to gather around for the big meal. Property was clean and spacious, kitchen well equipped, the bedroom on the first floor was perfect for us, the oldest, while the youngest stayed upstairs, everyone enjoy the house and the beautiful backyard, nice firepit and very beautiful sunset. Location is great, very close to supermarkets, restaurants and church, but once you get to the house you feel like you are far away, in a very peaceful place. On the lake, with a dock, and a nice easy slope down to the lake. This is rare as most of them have very steep lake access. It is in a beautiful cove that is just the right size. Not to small and not too big. It is on Flat Creek which is one of the better fishing areas, and the cove is deep out in the middle. Very nice area - quiet and surrounded by woods. We saw deer, squirrels, birds, ducks, geese. The only disappointment on our visit was that we didn't see any fish, LOL. We fished really hard from the dock but conditions were not good for fishing. There is a large fire pit and outdoor kitchen with lots of seating around. The house has an upper deck and lower patio also with great seating. Despite the cold weather we spent much family time outside.We loved the layout of the home. On the main (lower) level is a King bedroom with private bath, plus the kitchen, dining, living areas, laundry room. Perfect for our older couple as they had no stairs to deal with. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms. One with private bath. The two other bedrooms share a bath. There is also an upstairs den where the family enjoyed games. We were there over NY. We had family in from TX and this home was perfect for us locals to spend time with them. We had our traditional NY southern meal at the dining table which seats 10\.
