COMFORT Suites FRESNO

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: Location was very convenient. It is next to a Costco and not far from many restaurants and shopping.
Cons: See comments above.
Location: See above.
We had a reservation for 3, 1 king bed and a pullout. We arrived at3:10 pm and were told our roomwas not ready yet. Finally, at 3:50 we were able to access our room. It was clean, but looked well used. We left our luggage and went to our friends graduation and party. We did not arrive home until 11:30. When we opened the pull out bed, it had no sheets or pillows. There was one extra blanket we found in the closet. We had to chase down a housekeeper, who was down the hall still cleaning rooms! She was lovely and got us what we needed. We had to make up the bed ourselves. We paid extra for our 3rd person. It seems this all should have been taken care of already. In the morning, we went down to have the provided breakfast at 8:45am. Breakfast ran until 9:30. The batter for the waffle maker was empty, they were out of fresh fruit, there were no scrambled eggs or sausages, no muffins or pastries. Plastic utensils and cups were almost non existent. There was one server who appeared after a while and began cleaning up the place. Several people asked where the food was and we were told it was coming. Fresh food appeared about 9:15. Most people at that point had eaten toast and left. Although the room was clean and bed comfortable, I would not recommend this hotel We let the front desk know, but the person didn't really seem interested and gave excuses. Comfort Suites needs to get its act together and be more professional. We did not feel like they cared about our business or return

They had a large group of high school students there on that weekend and it overloaded the breakfast area making it too difficult to get breakfast. Otherwise ok

Weekend get away

Posted 11-Apr-2017
Missed the jacuzzi. Staff was extremely helpful. Even offered us milk after I asked for a local store to purchase some for the children upon an 8pm arrival.

Like staying with friends!

Posted 30-Mar-2017
Here for work. Glad I chose this hotel! I never enjoy coming to this city since there are some sketchy places. Traveling alone I felt incredibly safe (this includes my vehicle). They are walking distance to a nice mall, shops, and eateries. THEY HAVE A GREAT BREAKFAST! STAFF TREATS YOU AS IF YOU ARE STAYING @ a 5 STAR & SUPER FRIENDLY! Also a great social hour during the week w/local draft and your choice of wines. Rooms and hotel are clean. Will be my go to when in Fresno! The GM is great and very hands on.

Busy location

Posted 07-Mar-2017
Hotel is in a very busy location. Hotel isn't in a very great area. Both of my hotel keys stopped working 4 times, even when given new ones. One hotel employee suggested that the key pad on the door might have been deactivating the keys and another employee made it seem like that was a rediculous idea. Very frustrating to have to keep going up and down 2 floors after just getting back from somewhere and not being able to get in the room. I also didn't like that breakfast ended at 9. The water in the shower never got hot. It would just get warm.

It was the best yet in Fresno or Clovis.

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Pros: Staff, food, refreshments, service, .
Cons: Well, hiway access. Maybe there was a back way in but we didn't see it. Otherwise you had to get it off Blackstone but no big deal.
Location: Ideally located to shopping and stores. I had to leave my husband carless and he had a great day. At 70 able to walk to local cuisine and stores too
From check in to check out the experience was great, the staff was wonderful. Patrick was the most accommodating staff member we have encountered. He treated us and others like we were VIPs/family. I think he was the manager but you'd of thought he owned the place by how he cared about every detail. The breakfast was amazing, best we have ever had and we have staid at probably every hotel in Fresno or Clovis over the last 10yrs to include Hilton, Marriot, Holiday La Quinta, etc. Maid staff was superb. Also want to mention the lady in the evening that worked the counter and served the refreshments. Super friendly and accommodating. Also noticeable was the respect that the staff had for each other as well as the guests.

Mildew smell

Posted 10-Feb-2017 on Hotels
The first room they gave me smelled of mildew or mold. I Didn't notice it, cause when I walked in the first time the window was open and lots of fresh air. They probably did that on purpose. When I came back after it was closed the smell was overwhelming. They immediately changed my room But that room has a problem and should be not used until they figure out the mold or mildew smell. I think it was room 204.
