Secluded home near Patoka Lake & French Lick. Nature Lover's Dream

This beautiful country home is just what you need for a secluded get away, yet still within minutes from downtown French Lick. It is truly a retreat.

Fully stocked kitchen, 4 Bedrooms- 2 king beds, 1 Queen, bunk beds and daybed with trundle (twins), 3 full baths, washer/dryer, back yard fire pit, gas grill. Activities in the basement include foosball, 3 arcade games (NBA Jam is 4 player, X-men is 2 player, and Golden Tee for the husband) board games, and a full toy chest for the littles. Things to bring: favorite coffee (keurig and coffee pot available), firewood.

Numerous surrounding attractions, not to mention 30 acres of beautiful property with picturesque views right in the back yard with hiking trails, a stream and cool rock feature at the bottoms. (A second home next door is also used as a short term rental with adjoining property so if you see another guest walking a trail, no worries). Trail is moderate terrain. This home suits a romantic get away couple, family, or large group up to 10 people. ($10.00/person for over 6 guests to account for cleaning costs).

Wonderfully accommodated getaway

This is a great property to get away for a while. Very easy to stay here. The owner is communicative, the house has everything you need (including toys for young ones) and the property has plenty to explore. Extremely easy to visit here based on how well planned the property is. Come and have fun.

Convenient location just 10 minutes from town, but all the bonuses of nature and peace and quiet. It was great! House very clean. Kids were busy playing games, hiking and enjoyed the firepit every night. Fall foliage was spectacular

Great Stargazing

We planned to see the meteor shower and weren’t disappointed. The property is beautiful, it’s own hiking trail and fire pit are great bonuses. So close to so many activities. comfortable, nicely updated, and decorated.

Family vacation

We stayed here as a stop off to holiday world and it was perfect for our needs. We cooked two meals for 7 adults and had everything we needed. The trail was great and there was a good outside space for throwing a football around. The games inside were fun and helped with bonding time while we were in the house. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful spring getaway

Wonderful host and beautiful home that is tastefully decorated. 10 min drive to French Lick. Great for families of all ages. The back porches are lovely to watch the sun rise. The house was freshly cleaned and smelled great when we walked in. There were a few things that needed some attention but nothing that would prevent me from recommending this home to a friend.

Peaceful and beautiful

Can’t say enough good things about this house. It is a really great space - plenty of room, a good flow (especially with the fun downstairs area), very clean, and nice all around. The woods and trails are especially amazing! The surrounding area is so peaceful. And the stars at night are unbelievable! We came for the eclipse, but we would come back again just because of how great it is!

Perfect Polar Express Train property! The host was very welcoming and provided helpful directions to the property. They had cute Christmas decor set up which was such a lovely touch. The house was very clean! The layout was perfect for our group - my husband and I stayed downstairs in the king bedroom with our infant son in the pack n play and our two elementary aged kiddos kept in the bunk bed/trundle bed room downstairs. They loved having the arcade room available to them! My parents and brother and sister-in-law stayed in the two main floor bedrooms. It was so nice to have the kiddos be able to play and watch TV at the crack of dawn (when children hyped up on Christmas cheer and vacation vibes wake up) downstairs until a reasonable hour when we allowed them upstairs to eat breakfast and wake up their family members! The kids loved going on a walk through the woods on the property, too! We would absolutely return again!

Great property in quiet, wooded location near French Lick

Went for a short break with my wife and kids (11 & 8 yo). The property was as described, plenty of beds for larger groups too. Easy drive to French Lick, Patoka Lake, Marengo Cave, etc. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and took advantage of the ~1 mile hiking trail which goes through the woods on the perimeter of the property. Host communicated well and was really helpful. Overall great property, location and host.

Loved this property and will return!

Our stay at this house was fantastic! It's clean, updated, spacious, and had everything we needed for our visit to French Lick & Paoli Peaks. The amount of bedrooms and variety of bed sizes is great. The game room in the basement with multiple arcade games plus a TV with a Fire TV stick and a table with 6 chairs was absolutely perfect. The bathrooms were clean, had plenty of towels and washcloths; the kitchen & refrigerator were clean, and there's plenty of counter top space and island space for our entire group of 6 people to make food and drinks without stepping on each other. The property manager was fast to respond to a question I had for her.All in all, this was a great experience staying here and we will return in the future.

Family Holiday Mini Vacation

Our family of 10 stayed for a long weekend. We loved the big island in the kitchen. All of the TVs were smart TVs so we were able to watch lots of fun Christmas movies. The games in the basement were a huge hit with the kids. Fantastic yard and views of nature. Would be great in the summer. Only con was the mattress in the upstairs bedroom was very soft, as well as one of the mattresses for the kids. If you don't mind soft mattresses it's ok. Otherwise really great place to stay and would highly recommend it.

French Lick Countryside

Property was as advertised and very comfortable for our party of 5. Our schedule didn't allow us to explore the property's hiking, firepit & grill, but looked inviting nonetheless. Only comments would be master bath shower needs a really good cleaning. Downstairs shower curtain was discolored. Couple staying downstairs would've like to have a tv in their room.

So Wonderful!!

This was an absolutely lovely house. It couldn't have been more perfect for our family. It is much larger than it looks from the outside. There were 4 separate bedrooms and three full bathrooms! When you've got 7 adults in the group, that is really a luxury. The beds were large and oh, so comfortable. The place was neat as a pin and well stocked with everything we could possibly need, including lots of toys and books for the toddler in our group. There were trails on the property which some of our younger family members took advantage of and really enjoyed. I just can't say enough positive things about this home or its very nice owner, Allison!

Great Boys Golf-House Stay

We really enjoyed our stay - great for 4 golfers who each had their own room while enjoying the outside and indoor common areas (porch, family room, kitchen, etc). House kitchen well stocked - we did a big steak cook-out dinner along with breakfast every morning - plenty of dishes and cookware. Modern updates in kitchen made cooking and clean-up a breeze. Great room with large-screen TV was great (but be sure to bring your smart-TV skills to maximize your experience). HVAC easy to adjust and kept the house at optimal temperatures. Super-quiet area. Location optimal for area - very good access to French Lick, golf courses and casino in area. Conclusion: Highly recommend - a lot of work has gone into creating a great VRBO rental property and understanding what travelers need in a VRBO rental for an enjoyable experience.
