Family and pet friendly, waterfront cabin on Lost Lake, with private dock

"We had a really great time staying at this beautiful cabin. The description was accurate and it was actually more spacious than I had expected it to be which was really nice. The entire place was very clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower had great water pressure, the kitchen had everything we needed. We found the furniture, including the bed to be comfortable and clean. There is a wood fireplace which we really loved on a couple chilly nights, it added so much to our trip that I wasn't expecting. We had a couple questions prior to and after our arrival, the host was very quick to respond and answered our questions. One thing to remember is that you need to bring your own towels, it is not a problem, just something to be aware of.The only thing we would change, is that the patio door does not have a screen on it so we couldn't really keep that open as much as we would have liked, but that being said there are many wonderful windows that you can open to get fresh air. The area surrounding the cabin is really beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that we can return next year to enjoy it again. We would highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway."

"Beautiful setting. Cabin was comfortable, as-described, clean and had real northwoods feel and look. Everything you never knew you forgot was there and included. Fishing, sauna, dock, boats, Asteroids game, library all included! Mike and Wanda were friendly and helpful; they really love the lake and area."

"My family had a decent stay at Bear Cottage. We were definitely surprised by the lack of wifi, which the property manager confirmed would be removed from the listing to avoid future confusion. I definitely would not have booked this place at this price had I known there would be no wifi. We also saw a TV in the listing that was not there, just an old radio in its place that barely got reception. We have a 6 year old, so 7 days without any sort of outside contact or stimulation was a bit difficult. We managed by visiting my in laws at their camp site down the road (where oddly, we got great reception). We are big Star Lake fans and always appreciate a chance to get out to the Northwoods. We loved the history and charm behind the cottage, and made some great memories there. Thanks for sharing it with us!"

"If you’re looking for a peaceful, full cabin rental on Plum Lake, this is the perfect place! The cabin was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were visiting friends who own a cabin at Froelich’s Sayner Lodge, and this cabin was just steps away, which made the location perfect for us.There’s plenty of room for a family or even two small families. It would be an especially great place to stay during the summer and enjoy everything Plum Lake has to offer.We had a great stay and will definitely be renting again!"

"We had an amazing time! The cabin is charming and nicely appointed. And so clean! We will be booking a return trip for sure. And a wonderful surprise was Rob, the property manager, dropping by shortly after we checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us some much appreciated tips for hikes. We spent some time on the private pier, watching eagles, loons and other wildlife. So quiet and peaceful!"

"We had such a great time at the cabin! My kids love the loft. The cabin is decorated so cute! They had all the supplies we needed even firewood ., The only issue we had was the shower is clogged. The water would overflow onto floor. The provided towels and washer and dryer helped make this a little easier to deal with. I can see us renting again for the 3rd time. Thanks so much!"
