We stayed here for 1 night only during a road trip but wish it could have been many more. Max and Debs were superb hosts and the facilities were immaculate with every detail carefully considered. The breakfast was excellent using locally sourced product. Very highly recommended.

Had a fantastic stay here. The welcome was so friendly and was shown to our room which was very clean and well presented. Loved the black 'make-up' towel, nice touch. Comfy bed and black out curtains. Could not fault it. Communial areas also very clean and homely. The breakfast in the morning was such a treat! Again the service was brillient and food tasted amazing. Couldn't want for anything. If we were holidaying again in the area would definitely stay again. Can't recommend enough.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Old Embassy House. Deb and Max are the perfect hosts and the standard of service and accommodation is better than some 4 *and 5 * hotels we have stayed in! Don't hesitate, just book it, you certainly won't be disappointed

Lovely B&B in a great Cornish Town
Fabulous stay. Max and Debs are extremely hospitable. Max called to say our room and parking space was ready earlier than expected. Rooms are lovely. Breakfast is one of the best I have had in a UK B&B. Plentiful and very tasty. Will definitely stay again.

Short Break in Fowey
Second time staying here and it won’t be the last time. Lovely rooms, great breakfast and the location is great for exploring the town. The owners are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. High class B&B that puts most hotels to shame.

A wonderful stay
What a great stay in a gorgeous town. We arrived on a stormy day, and Debs and Max couldn't have been better hosts. We received very good dinner and drinks recommendations for our brief stay, and parking at the public lot up the hill was easy. A local actually helped us with a parking slip, so our night in the lot was free. My wife and I walked the short distance to St. Catherine's fort and actually weathered a brilliant downpour in the surviving 400+ year-old doorway of the castle as the waves crashed against the rocks below. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way. High adventure for us! The breakfast was fantastic, and Max was professional and pleasant. We would stay here again. My only caution would be the clear glass sliding door on the bathroom in our first floor room. If I had my choice, I would prefer an opaque or solid door for more privacy.

OUTSTANDING
Outstanding greeting, care and quality which cannot be faulted. Everything was simply perfect. There are 4 rooms and 2 parking space which should be reserved at booking. The public car park is in walking distance. Highly recommended.

A few days in Fowey
Our host Max and Debs were amazing and give us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Bufala, a new Italian was so good as well as the tapas bar. The breakfasts were top drawer, from the full Cornish to the simple but perfect soft boiled eggs and toast soldiers. Our room was impeccable and the guesthouse is a short stroll to the middle of the village. Would happily move and life here

One night stay in Fowey
Recently stayed at The Old Embassy House for one night and it was absolutely lovely. Great welcome, lovely room, fantastic breakfast and located within 5 minutes of the town centre. The facilities are modern and fresh and because the walls are so thick, you wouldn’t know there’s anyone else staying. The breakfast was delicious and the lemon drizzle muffins in the room, were to die for. The owners were so friendly and really made you feel at home. Will definitely be returning.

Cant believe there are better places in Fowey!
Great place to stay for a visit to Fowey and the surrounding area - we went to the Eden project, a 15 minute drive. Wonderful rooms, food and hospitality provided by Debs and Max. Will definitely be booking again next time we are in Cornwall.

This lovely well proportioned property is of a very high standard. The host and hostess were extremely warm and friendly and helpful. Only down side is the lack of parking by the property even for short periods.

Huge comfortable bed. Wonderfully spacious room, beautifully decorated. The option for a both was perfect for us following our days walking. The owners made a very good team making us feel very welcome and at ease.

A Cornish treat.
Fantastic stay, the location is excellent for Fowey and within easy walking distance of the centre. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and spotless. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had and the hosts warm and welcoming.

A wonderful stay
Our 4 day stay could not have been better. The Embassy was fabulous, the bedroom was very comfortable and the decor beautiful as was the rest of this characterful Georgian property. Max and Debs made us very welcome and each day served a substantial tasty breakfast which could not be faulted---we will stay again in the not too distant future!

An English Rose with an amazing Cornish Breakfast
Having now had experience of Family B&B-ing for 8 years, this B&B is the best we have ever stayed in as a couple, with (now) an 8 year old girl. Apart from the outstanding cleanliness of the rooms the breakfasts were beyond compare. We have stayed in another B&B in Cornwall (as seen on TV - 4 in a Bed?) that I noticed recently had a review of having the best Full English breakfast in Cornwall - I'd say that this is not so. This relative new comer to the B&B Scene has a breakfast that is so good I was able to have a Full English (Cornish) breakfast every day for 7 days straight, not usually possible as every breakfast in the B&Bs we have stayed in to date have been too heavy on the stomach to cope. Furthermore it was satisfying enough to last till Dinner! To top that off, the hosts were really cool! We were all made to feel instantly at home. Max and Deb were very welcoming, friendly and provided a very relaxing stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were only too happy to go that extra mile.

Best B and B I have stayed in
Probably quite the best B and B I have stayed in anywhere ever. The owners have only been there a few months and are 5* Hotel experienced and gosh it shows, everything has been so well thought through, the place has been refurbished to a very high standard and all is just as you would want it to be. Breakfast ... well.... enough to feed an Army, huge range of options and all superbly presented. I am 65 years old and have never written a review as good as this... really this place is very, very good indeed one small negative about lack of dedicated car parking but there is a large car park quite close and limited on street parking.

Nice boutique B&B not too far from the quay
The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Deb & Max gave us a nice welcome and recommended several places in Fowey for dinner. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the rain-forest shower in the bathroom was brilliant. Breakfast catered for all possible tastes and was delicious - good coffee and fresh local ingredients. Upon leaving Max arranged for discounted tickets to the the Lost Gardens of Heligan, which was brilliant. I would definitely recommend Fowey and the Old Embassy House.

Wonderful place
Absolutely the best. Food, room (really liked the decoration), the owners, location. The only thing was the parking, but nothing to talk about as everywhere in these small towns the driving and parking is utterly difficult. Big public parking very near that we used. So good to be able to charge iPhones, iPads etc directly plugged into the walls at several places in the room. Highly recommended.
